I honestly couldn't give a flying f**k about Ivan. I'm glad he left and I think we are better off without him. If he stayed longer we'd probably have more woeful signings.

Penrith are just another team to me. Good luck to them. I think Nathan Cleary has come on a lot this season. He has come on and Brooks has gone backwards.

As for this weekend - we aren't making the 8 anyway. I hope we play some good footy but the season is over.

I think most fair minded Panthers fans would genuinely like to see your club do well.

It is not as if we have been blessed with continued success, even if we did enjoy some moderate success making the bottom half of the top 8 under the Anthony Griffin reign.

It is not always easy supporting one of the lesser lights as I know from over 50 years as a Panthers fan.

The Panthers have benefited from there local junior nursery and establishing ties to the Central West of NSW.

My opinion only but I tend to think the Wests Tigers need to employ a more strategic approach and tap into the junior nursery from the Campbelltown / Camden areas as well as perhaps the Southern Highlands. I just think you are more likely to turn things around by bringing through your own quality youngsters than trying to find success in the open market which we all know is very difficult particularly for the lesser light clubs. It may take time but cold be more beneficial for long term and sustained success.

Sadly, TSP, is capable of rational thought and making intelligent comment but he seems to get caught up in the Ivan Cleary issue, which really after two years is pointless in the scheme of things.

Honestly who gives a f**k. Clearly was fine as a coach for us but his recruitment was terrible. It's in the past though. I'm not interested in rehashing it.

I rarely post on your forum, although as a keen RL follower I follow yours and others closely out of general interest.

I do really believe your club could benefit, particularly once you get your Centre of Excellence established, to concentrate on developing your own. I’m not trying to be a smart arse here I am simply saying I truly believe you are capable of being a development club not dissimilar to ours and not have to rely on high priced, high risk acquisitions when the cream of crop are always more likely to be snapped up by we all know who.

It was but it's over and you need to put it in perspective. If that is the worst thing that happens to you in your life I'd be amazed. It's a coach of the footy team you support.

I agree. We do need to manage our cap better though. Once your cap is screwed it's hard to maintain the good juniors that come through.

Your point on signing high cost recruits is something that we have done extremely poorly.

I don’t think Brooks has regressed. To me he is always like this and many overrated him a couple of years back. Was never going to live up to expectations as far as I’m concerned.

I find it astounding to be honest.
The guy has only improved in one area of his game...defence.
His all round game Is satisfactory at very best.

I was thinking about the big 4. They were always really the big 1 which of course is the Turd. Woods is crap. I think Moses is overrated and he hasn't come on. Brooks clearly hasn't come on.

It's interesting in that these guys were so hyped up but they haven't delivered.

Extremely generous of you to apply the term satisfactory to Brooks.He has been astoundingly woeful for so long that it demonstrates the ineptitude of the various coaches he has played under at concord for none of them to recognise the glaringly obvious that he isn’t an NRL standard organising 7.Without wanting to b cruel he doesn’t possess the mental capacity to adequately take ownership of the team.That debut game against a pathetic saints was nothing but a flash in the pan performance which hoodwinked many league pundits into believing he was the reincarnation of the 8th immortal.

My biggest gripe towards Maguire is y in the hell did he give brooks an additional 2yrs last season.Monumental error in judgement when he coached against him & had enough time at concord to realise that he isn’t the game manager to build ur side around.
