Robert Jennings was a disgrace today. He is so fat and slow and seriously the worst finisher in the NRL. There is nothing good about him at all.

He was just awful today. Mbye gave him the ball 4 metres out and all he had to do was get low and fall over the line, but he couldn't even do that. Funny how when we went to the other edge we started scoring points. Say what you want about Nofo, but he knows how to score a try.

Four tries apiece and a ref that cruelled our momentum.

They smashed us into the next world last game.

It was a good game in terms of measuring where we are.

We remain too close the edge of the cliff, off balance, but haven’t quite plunged over.

Marsters wasn’t much better I think it was Benji threw a pass that put him in the clear with Nofo outside, he runs away from Nofo back into the defence. If he runs straight draws the winger and passes to Nofo we either have a try or an extra 40 metres with parra on the back foot. The tigers backs are custard.

Even nofo looks unfit and overweight this year, but agree he's always been a pretty good finisher

The team get together and vow to keep fighting for the love of Benji.

After the match, their was a presentation, some of the players came over to the member area and I got to thank Moses Mbye for his efforts which he appreciated.

Agree 100%. Then there was the other moment where all Marsters had to do was catch and pass and Nofo was in the clear, but he ran it himself and got bundled up.

Look at the score and you would think it would be a case of sour grapes if you took aim at the guy with the whistle, but in the first half we had so many crappy 50 50 calls go the other way.

On the other hand quality teams, get over it and get the job done. Like with most years we hit mid July, the grind kicks in and we kick out.

Lack of quality is a issue, but lack of ticker is a bigger issue

I came away from the game and what stood out for me was that ...
It was four tries each.
Our first string goal kicker is rubbish and will continue to cost us games if depended upon.
Brooks kicking was ineffective and why he persisted kicking to Ferguson on the last then the other winger is bewildering.
Parra got away with holding down repeatedly and the refs calls went their way.
The WT always make Parra centre BT look like GI.
Regarding some of our backs, if you have a Datsun 180B it’s still a Datsun 180B no matter where you park it, Jennings is a disgrace, Marsters and Mybe are not that far behind him.
The forwards generally held their own but don’t dominate.
Until our salary cap is free of the dead wood many of our problems will persist.

You’re giving them too much credit, at least the old 180B was reliable and got you from A-B. These blokes are like minis stuck in first gear

Tigers forwards need to find some bad intentions
Thompson has had a few shockers lately, but he has done plenty of good. And when have we ever had a fearsome pack? Im 37 and the last one i remember was the late 80s(vaguely)! This is where packer needs to be in the team. He adds a bit of mongrel and fear factor.

The early rounds of 2014. Galloway, Woods and Blair would start, but then Taupau, Gavet and Sue would come off the bench looking to destroy people. I remember this pack dominating well favoured packs like Manly and Souths. Roosters still touched us up and then the injury toll got worse, the media attacked and the new board arrived and undid all the hard work Potter had done.

Didn't see the game, though many are saying we are close to getting it all together.

But goal kicks were 7 against & 1 for, 12 points is just too much start to give anybody. It is not the first game we have lost due to it.

So it looks to me like our No 1 priority needs to be to get a goal kicker, what ever position he plays.

These are all good points. Nofo puts in but he still dropped one ball cold. You gotta forgive him though because he always works his backside off. Thompson also plays hard even though he seems to come up with a critical dumb mistake or two each game.

Jennings is pretty close to being a write off. He just doesn't look like a first grader.

Mbye and Marsters to me both look likely without actually getting the job done. I think though taking the goal kicking duties of Marsters might help him and Mbye needs some time in the centres to see if he has the ability to fill that role.

If we could get a gun goal kicking winger to replace Jennings that would be ideal. Mbye should be kicking from now on though.

The forwards can be as damaging and confronting as you want, but IMO it’s the backline that needs work.

No use setting platforms if we can’t finish.

It's clearly out outside backs that aren't performing. The next issue is Benji is playing great but can he go another season at this level. We will need to find a 6 soon. Reynolds clearly looks like being one of the worst signings we've ever had. I think he has two more years post this season. Maybe he fills the spot to a decent level consistently but that is unlikely.

We need some class in our outside backs.

Mbye looked much better than Marsters when he had a go. Give the duties to him going forward. Hopefully he does the job and makes the centre spot his. I bet he is still overpaid though if he fills those roles exceptionally well.
