We can't replace him because our squad isn't shit and he appears to be a big factor in signing these guys.

We need to back him and hope he gets it together. We also have to back Latu.
Well said.
Benji will coach next year.
We've got KPP coming under Benji's watch and I'm sure with the money we have we will sign other good players.
However, if we keep losing, those good players may not come.

As a team we have, and have been for a long time, been too small, too slow, too low footballing IQ, too badly coached and too poorly run as a footballing organisation. I didn't expect too much from this year which is as it has turned out. Something needs to change but I won't hold my breath...

The balloon in our football had sadly popped from the Galvin situation onwards......the second game against Parra was the day our balloon popped on the field. We have steadily fallen away from that game onwards.
I had hoped that Galvin leaving would "galvinize" the team, but it clearly hasn't.
Tonight may not have been our biggest beating, but it was overall one of our worst performances. They played like individuals tonight. They clearly looked un-coached and that is clearly on the coaching staff.
Yes, we have improved overall from previous years. But, from that second Parra game onwards, the team has delivered some pretty sad performances. Management will never come out and say it (nor should they) but Benji should really be on the hot seat now. We have improved, but since the Parra game, those games should not be enough to save his job. If we finish last or second-last, he really has to go.

I thought the first half was OK but uninspiring.
The second half was just rubbish.
Mason shouldn't be in FG.
If TDS was doing an interview for another club, he failed.
Benji's team and bench selections are baffling, he's still using the sheenius play book.
I thought Doueihi had a good game, no one else stood out imo.
We have to overcome the ref's.

The injury front is going to test our depth.
Bula out.
Luai unavailable if selected for SOO.
Api out.

Benji admitted that players were all playing out of position and he got some of the interchange wrong.

f**k this is train wreck.
Agree, it seems to me, that he has a team of coaches and he doesn't use there knowledge.
We must surely have better players in reserve grade worthy of a go:
Mason has never been the answer.
If TDS is leaving, why play him? He was terrible.

To be fair Luai and Bula out are huge losses and that game was always one we were going to lose.

I don't see this team though ever performing above themselves and that is a coaching issue.

It's pissing me off..

But we knew it was bound to happen. A rookie coach, who hasn’t coached at any form of elite level, and is adored by the fans, was only ever a distraction orchestrated by the previous administration to hide their incompetence.

I sort of agree but at the same time I think he was the best option but it's mainly based on our recruitment and retention.

I also don't think it was bound to happen. I think it was likely.

This sort of thing shits me no end. If you get beaten like we did a quick handshake with the opposition the straight off into the sheds. I want to see them looking like their dog just died.

It happens all the time. Do they even care?
3 brothers playing in each apposing team in the NRL. Hasn’t ever happend before and won’t again. Give them a break.

At least he’s honest learns from it and never plays Luke L again. Mason can go too.. I’d have given AD another shot in the halves with Fainu

Test us how. It's not like we're winning many games. I do wonder if it would be better that we are going shit like we are now and we expose Benji for the myth he is and end jobs for the boys rort, Morris, Heighno and Robbie etc or would it have been better if we'd won three close games, finish in the 8 and most likely get smashed by 30 in the first round of the finals

I think the obsession with prioritising developing players even if they arnt good enough is a problem. NRL is a different beast..
