This putting your foot in the way of the grubber is such a low percentage play they’ve got to forget about that shit, 90 percent of the time you’re better of letting it go and kicking it dead
they killed us with it last week ..just unfortunate that it hit Marshall off Marsters foot otherwise would have been a good ploy..Also see Marsters tackle right at the end ..lucky he didn’t miss time that..he looks like he tried harder but needs to run at the line like Nofo the Ghost instead of twinkle tozing

Just like to congratulate Robbie Farah on 300. We can criticise him here and there but he is a Wests Stalwart and has provided many more positive memories than negative for me. Champion!!

Good to see both Benji and Robbie Score to get the job done!!

Happy with the win,
Happy for Farah getting to and winning in his 300th and scoring a try.
Happy with the forwards and they know after the changes where they stand with Madge.
Garner went very well.
Now Madge needs to get up the backs although I was happy with Nofoaluma’s overall game, Brooks went very well but why the same old kicks to Ponga?
As for the 8, not based on their for ‘ against.

Is that right? Somebody needs to grab hold of him and show him videos of Tim Simona

He’s no where near as bad as Simona - I just have seen all over his social media that dumb Fortnite shit.

Screw your head on, smash the TV and play some footy!

He’s a talented kid and will come good but is suffering some major second year syndrome.

Anyway - let’s be positive after such a good win.

Corey, Mbye, Benji, Farah, Brooks, Matto we’re all A+ tonight and proved that they are a strong nucleus for us to head to September.

That’s how Simona got a start, lost sight of the goal, got in the party train, started punting it’s a slippery slope!!!

I’d agree with this analysis. Matterson is great value. Marshall made a couple of pretty ordinary errors in defence but overall was good. I love Brooks!!!
I think Mbye poor play is him not having faith in his ability, just over trying a bit. Farah has a good 300th. Newcastle got a couple of really soft tries, which we still should have stopped, off the back of some 50/50 refereeing calls we should’ve won by more
Apart from Brooks 5th tackle kick into someone’s hip...that would take some practice..and lucky it didn’t happen at a more crucial time

Mbye A+?
A pass just, somewhere in the C range. He’s a bloke not confident in his own ability IMO, we need the footy whisperer to get him right in the head.

Brooks was brilliant tonight. Knights should have been pinged on that play they were 5 metres offside:joy:

I thought he was really good at centre. Made his tackles, good passes and strong runs.

Perhaps he looked extra good compared to Esan who couldn’t stick to a canvas of PVA glue. Every tackle he makes he bounces off.

What will it take for Talau to debut?

Mbye was 16/23 tackles, very poor defensively. Other aspects of his game were okay. I wouldn’t sack him off that but I just see a bloke who plays nothing near his ability. You see flashes of good stuff but he always seems hesitant to me. Marsters game was okay, his defence was good, except for the Ponga try where he darted out of the line. I think he needs to be more involved, If I was Maguire I’d be throwing him the ball once in every set of six make him work and hope he clicks.
