Is there any tigers supporters still in support of Brooks? i think its great he runs the ball but he completely stifles the attack with some of his sideways running when they just need to go forward. Maybe he should be a centre?

Yet this game and EXACTLY how it played out is the thing that gives me some hope....if we'd have won it in the last seconds they would have believed they went ok...there could not have been a more jarring and humiliating reality check than this.

It’s two halves that can’t play footy. I hate bagging Brooks but he spent 3/4 of the game standing behind forwards rather than being the primary receiver. I know they play it a bit different now but your halfback has to want the ball, has to control the direction of the team and set up the attack, especially in the attacking 20. We had so many tackles inside Newcastle 20 but could not convert. There’s not much hope for the Tigers. I reckon Bateman will be in the plane back to England this week, why would you stay here.
