It was funny seeing the commentators at the end showing clips of about 10 moves from Galvin. They were all raving about him throughout the clips how amazing he was but all he did for most of them was run then get tackled.. haha

I thought he was good but I'm not convinced he is better than Latu.

There’s stuff to work on but the effort in defence has been present in the last two games, doesn’t really matter who you’re playing these days keeping a side under 10 points is great, parra had 35+ tackles inside our 20, and we kept them to one late try.
So rapt they've addressed some D issues. One is being committed for 80min.
Been a long time coming but they've realized you can't win being behind on the scoreboard.

Very happy to be very wrong. Was a tense opening but once we settled down we had the strike power to overcome them. That ref had it in for us 2nd half with a lot of soft penalties and restarts. A shame we couldn't keep them to 0 but hey, it's a nice win, eases pressure, and we move on to the Dolphins next week.

Have to say watching today’s press conference, I’m glad Luai is with us, I was impressed with how he handled it, and the attitude he brings to us. We’re always optimistic at the start of the season , i know, but there’s a new professionalism that seems to be developing at the Tigers I’m looking forward to see what comes of it.

I think with Richo at the helm, things have been sharpened up around the place, even Benji seems to have an edge.

Both teams were very clunky at the start, at least the Tigers kicked on and started to play better as the game went on.Sure Api wasn't at his best but he will be better for the run next week and beyond.

Winning changes a lot of things, even opinions.

If you're a long term Tigers supporter and not happy with aspects of that performance, you are pretty hard to please.....but I guess that can be understandable.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a better side than we've had in a long time. While the performance was nowhere near perfect, it had a lot of what most reasonable tiger fans want.....progress. Im not expecting this side to make the 8......but I don't care that much as long as this year shows visible improvement in the way we play rugby league. 2 games is a small sample, but I'm happy with the way things are forming.

*May: It takes a special kind of prop to perform when nobody else in the pack does. That was May last week. This week, his two other props gave him a hand and was all the better for it. On track to become a Tigers legend. Easily our best in each of the first two games.

*Attitude to defence: Yes, we missed tackles last week but even then, our scrambling was at a very good level. Im very happy with our attitudes. Letting in the lst try to Parra will give Benji a bit to motivate the troops next week.

*Galvin: Surely, he is not going to f**k his career and go to that rabble which has yet to clear its cap space from a lot of duds. Easts are a lot bigger concern than Parra. Right now, I prefer to give him a pat on the back as he was a shitload better this week. Some on here have a bit of a grudge but Im at the point where I just want to see him help lift our ladder position.....which he did today.

*Our back three: f**k, its great to have two virtual forwards on each wing. It takes a massive amount of pressure off our pack. The beautiful thing about them is, both can finish off a try too.

*To'a: A bloke I have knocked a lot since he has been here and with good reason. Before today, he has played one blinder and one solid game for the club. The rest have been average to crap. Today, I count his game as his second solid game for the club. He was a better player at Newcastle and hope he can kick on from here....he has the tools to do a good job.
