The fact is that Farah is a hog because for 95% of his senior football with us the entire team was shit. He had to be creative. Now its just habit.

Its getting better. It takes time to change habits.

Brooks has been killing it as well. Did anyone see when he smashed someone on the weekend. He really is going after players defensively. Add to that he is running it all the time. Brooks is not a shit merkin now. He is a weapon.

Brooks has gone from probably one of the worst defensive halves in the game to best in 12 months truly remarkable. Still think he struggles a bit with taking control of the team but so far hasn't set a foot wrong

Defensively I agree he is a weapon. I have always said his technique was great, his application not so much.

If he leads this team with Robbie and Benji attached Ill take my hat off to him and back off. I have my doubts still though and no, him winning dally m half last year hasnt convinced me he is a top notch halfback worth the millions we have put into him.

So who would you have in his his place RIGHT NOW Round 3?
Liddle is injured as usual, and please dont say ET....So who???
trevcogger, that got me thinking, going back 10 years, just look at the backup hookers that have played 1st grade including ET.
2009 John Morris hooker & 5/8
2010 Chis Corby
2011 & 2012 Pat Politoni who had some big wraps on him - he was Qld State Cup hooker of the year in 2017 & 2018.
2013 Masada Iosefa & Joel Luani
2014 Joel Luani & Blake Austin
2015 & 2016 Manaia Cherrington I recall he went on end of season tour with the Kiwi's, picked from Tigers reserve grades, again big wraps.
2016 & 2017 Matt Ballin, Jacob Liddle, Matt McIlwrick
2017 Jeremy Marshall King, ET
2018 Pita Godinet, ET.

A few who had some wraps but none who have kicked on in 1st grade.

Brooks has been killing it as well.
Tiger05, I think you missed the tense in which stryker was speaking. Brooks has been killing it now, as stryker wrote, he was one who went missing in the past.

Maybe Stryker can confirm what he meant but my take is that people expect Brooks to take control. It's an abstract idea and I don't agree with it.

I thought in the game against Manly Brooks went to pieces at the end of the game. It was really poor play. That is the opposite I think of good game management.

The thing is against the Warriors Brooks was unreal. He created havoc all over the place, his defence was unreal and he did nothing wrong. He doesn't have to set-up every try or put in perfect kicks all the time. He just has to play his game to the best of his ability and he is one of the best halves in the comp.

He always had a great defensive technique, but Taylor decided to defend him out wide to protect him from the big boppers. He had no problems falling the big boppers, bit he did have a problem out wide where often he had to make in decision. Also he looks really fit now and in the past I am told he was not the best trainer. IMO he is a better 7 than Cleary and will get better

You cant fault Brooks.

He may not be the best half in the game, but hes doing a great job with our lot.

Brooks has the right coach @ the right stage of his career.

If Madge can’t mentor Brooks into consistently & competently steering the team around the park nobody can !

Agree with this, it's a team game, though when Robbie does it, he is torn to pieces.
