Both Api and Seyfarth were a chance to not be playing this game, due to a virus, according to Benji in the presser.

Something isn't right with Api. Seyfarth has been great the past couple of weeks. I think he said Sukkar also had the flu.

I hope Api gets it together because when he is on he is awesome.

I also want to see both Luai and Api not giving away dumb penalties. This really pisses me off from senior players.

I think Luai is playing okay. Api has been poor. Benji started with Hope because Api has been struggling but I don't think Api was any better.

The big issue though is our attack is terrible. Luai and Api are the guys who should be leading us here and they aren't.

I suppose to be fair Benji is changing things up all the time. AD worked to 13. Galvin being the main playmaker was a disaster. Pole was on an edge for parts of the game against the Titans and I think he dropped off making a tackle on Brian Kelly plus dropped the ball cold trying to play that role. To'a was moved to fullback at some point in that game.

Benji does have to try things but we have 6 or so games to go and we have no structure or look like developing a structure. I think you have to get your attack right to compete in this league and the attack can take some time. The thing is Benji has to make better calls earlier and less poor ones. I reckon this season is over and we have to work on next season now. We can't have another disaster of a start to the season.

The sad thing for us supporters is that this is a better year than what we've had in a while and I think the team has under-performed terribly.
And the release of TDS before signing Api up was a shite show.

I’m afraid that the case against Richo is building in relation to some aspects of his management.

Not everything of course, but I think it’s important that we scrutinise some of his core beliefs and decisions.

Because no one is all good or all bad.

I think these two will make a great combination for us.
Without May, i think it’s unlikely we would have won that match.

And for a player coming back into firsts after such a long break, he played a lot better than many players who had no impediments or legal issues.

I liked his pure centre try, we saw a similar feat a few weeks before in Koe.

The panel should take note of how he optimises a thin window of opportunity, with speed, power and position.

He’s deceptively powerful for his build and stature.

Eyes Up, he wasn’t going to be stopped. Strike!

It depends how this turns out. Api is playing poorly. Has he hit that limit based on age ? Will TDS turn into a gun player ? How will Haywood turn out ?

I mean Galvin was good for the Dogs this week and I think he was terrible for us.

Exactly. I also think Benji is making a bunch of decisions. He appears all in on Api and Luai.

Benji has had a troubled season. I don’t think he’s the best coach but could be useful in other areas.

But I think Richo is too close to Benji. I’d prefer him to be more distant. Not that he will sack Benji, that’s a board decision.

Richo has said we wanted to keep Api over TDS. But we let TDS wander off before signing Api. Then we are exposed to Api. Api is committed, but his health age and chronic injury status is a concern. He has beautiful hands, plenty of guile, but the role also requires a lot of fitness.

I would have kept TDS. Ryles was onto him asap. Speaks to his future.

It’s done though.

I think he is trying a bunch of different stuff which he probably needs too but at the same time we just haven't fired much at all this season.

We need to play high quality footy consistently.

At the same time he does appear to love it and I think he has played a role in developing a much better squad.

I don't want him sacked. I just don't see how that improves us.

Well the players aren’t really improving much in the broad. Huge issue. I think the rest of the season will tell us more about his capabilities.

He has the job safe at the moment.

if he is sacked, Richo can wipe his hands of it anyway. He’s more confident in Benji than Benji is!

Im pretty sure he'll get another year. As shit as we looked yesterday, we have improved overall. Yesterday was a game we 100% lose last year.

In saying that, the vast majority of our improvement in our team happened before Easter Monday. Since then.....along with the Titans.....we have been spoon-worthy. We were an absolute f**king mess yesterday. The May brothers are two men that won us the game yesterday and in all honesty, Terrell has saved us from a 4th spoon overall.

I have no confidence that Benji will get us to that next step up in performance.

Yep.

There doesn’t appear to be any broad upwards diagonal for most players.

The discipline has been abhorrent.

We’ve seen glimpses of good games from players, but never seen the whole side performing to their optimum at once, which is the whole idea.

We just don’t know which WT team is going to turn up every week.

If we keep progressing at this rate, we might finally make the finals next decade.

Look at what Des had to deal with at the Titans in his blow up. They strutted out like sober drag queens, very disrespectful most of them.

Agree, it was not a good game from us, but seriously, if the team was a shitshow, then they wouldn't have gone the extra to win it.
Credit where's its due.
A reminder, the season ain't over yet.
We are NOT a top 8 team atm, but we are improving and they are all learning, especially the coach.

Might make finals next decade is a pipedream. We are atrocious & after miraculously beating the last placed team scoring less tries than them on our home turf some fans are delusional about the prospects of this rabble.

Well it’s the rebuild you have when you’re not having a rebuild.

The players aren’t same-paging on performance which I can only deduce is primarily a coaching and prep issue.

If Benji isn’t leaving us, he probably needs a proper mentor to help him.

And realistically, Todd or Des next year. They can just be on the sly. Real time ear piece advice under the thick diamond encrusted beanie.

All we know so far is that Benji has sung the praises of such luminaries including Tim ( 17% w rate for the second coming) and Benny (Souths).
