Most of this was just venting nonsense I suppose you tried to be constructive, but the miserableness addiction that afflicts you was too powerful.

Your premise is that the club is pleased with or somehow indifferent to the concern of fans and members, that somehow it’s all on purpose and part of a grand conspiracy. Quite frankly, that’s just bizarre and ridiculous. No serious fan could genuinely entertain such insipid flights of fancy.

I’ll tell you what, you nominate a new coach, recruitment guy and players you think we should shaft ASAP and recruit and let’s head back into civilised territory.

I’ll publish my list and we might find some common ground.
You’ve been a nasty little shit lately. Did I get under your greasy skin last week?
The Wests Tigers are not in this competition to win the title. That is plainly obvious.
Id take Tooves if he wanted to go round again, he’ll be hard on our weak minded players.
I don’t know many recruitment guys currently, but Hartigan is shit so I’d promote from within and try someone else out.
You cant sack players currently as there is nothing out there to replace them with. We missed those chances many times this year.

Youre the one that called off the relationship, when you told whole forum that I “wasn’t your friend.” That wasn’t very nice after all we’ve been through together.

Such as that time, when that bloke wanted to fight you in the real life at the aquarium and I was the only one that came in to bat for you and helped warn him off before one of our mods stepped in and blew his brains out.

And stop embarrassing us over at sgi where you turned into snitch. That was awful.

Ok, differences resolved, here’s my top 3 coaches.

1. Morris. Took a dickhead Sharks outfit and over performed. Up to date with game unlike Toovey “ we need an investigation”

2. Seibs- turned around South’s ( post- Madge coaching specialist) before getting drunk on success and regrettably signing with the Broncs.

3. Flanagan, a “ drive away” coach ready for immediate action.

4. tba

Recruitment: keep hartigan, hire Penrith or storm 2nd in command of recruitment to help.
No shout out to current Bulldogs recruiter, doing well as you say, but took him 3 or 4 years.

I agree with you re squad, but give us some names

The anti sheens people, he’s not even here yet, give the wucker a go. He may well have better ideas than what we’ve had going.

Pascoe: should be moved on ASAP. Failed the members mainly. Sign Shane Richardson.

Lee: Should resign as chair if next year is another failure. Should be banned from public comments so far as possible and run the board, if he hasn’t been already.

This club is unbelievably SHIT. There is just zero heart or commitment to actually excelling in anything. Warriors were there to be beaten, and beaten well, so naturally we only put in 45% and now look like idiots for losing to a reserve grade squad.

Ofenhengaue needs to be checked for a brain. How many more errors does this fool make each week? Playing the ball without checking for the dummy half is unforgiveable. Liddle or Brooks not being there was disgraceful.

Our forwards had NO lift, NO spark. We put the same kick in 20 times. Mamolo is a carrot who couldn't run hard through paper (no wonder Brown shelved him).

Naturally the excuse comes out in losing Laurie, and you know, with that fat merkin Masila shouldering Daine I thought you could activate your 18th man - Cini would've been better than that plonker Mbye. I hate Moses Mbye so much - up there with Anasta and Blair as the worst ever signing for the club.

As for Madge, I have faith in him and want him to stay. Look at the archives - this defunct brained group of amateurs have been overseen by Sheens, Potter, Taylor, Cleary and now Madge, and NOTHING has changed in term of club culture - what has stayed the same is the pathetic board who accept the mediocrity.

Madge needs to bite the bullet and sack the guys bleeding us of money. Offer Mbye to St George on anything they want. Release Packer. Promote some young kids who actually WANT to play. With Laurie out for the year, it's the perfect opportunity to blood Cini at fullback, but nah, he'll shove that dimwit Mbye to lethargicly flounder around the field as we lose to Canterbury.

So getting through the upsettedness, you’re against the spectre of trying to rely on “ strongest known side” to take the risk of blooding a few juniors in critical positions. Fair enough. Cini was dealt with a bit too ruthlessly I agee.

It may well be time to rest Doogie for the season and let give him the extra time to recover. He’s had a go this year.

It might well be time to rest Brooks as well at the moment, give Jock some starting game time. I still think he never recovered from the early games. Jagged a few and then plodded along.

I’d also be happy with a lot of the second string tier at the moment, I mean there’s nothing much to play for.

But if I was Madge, I’d do something unusual and make the changes public, not as punishment but early acknowledgement of change so the expectation is different Otherwise it’s just all the same “best side” being beaten. That just rubs in the hopelessness. Same old.

The Mbye dilemma is $900k on the bench and we can’t afford to let him go without something in the kitty. After their thrashing today, we might see more impetus in his acquisition.

But probably Madge is fighting for his job at the moment, so he will stick to formula, then no one can accuse him of selecting controversial sides. Of course the first grade side is controversial at the moment

I suppose if he’s given the green light from the hierarchy to step outside the box and everyone is aware of it, that would help.

Mark my words, the physiotherapist and recovery people will get boned. They always do. It’s a tradition for bottom 4 sides. Undeserved scapegoats but clubs think it symbolises change. Bears on barrels effort.

The season is over. It makes sense to blood Cini at fullback and through Cooper into the centres as well.

It's too late to piss off Mbye though. Queens said they wanted him this year or the deal was off. August 1 was the deadline for transfers and that has passed.

I will say this about Sheens. We didn't have decoy runners under him, we had option runners across the park. It would be nice if he could bring that back somehow.

Apparently Sheens has rang around all the player agents to see what's out there. I wonder if it will stop the hitpieces in the media from the Mr 6%ers of the world.

Basically, yes. The first grade side has consistently failed and there's plodders who do not deserve the auto selection in the 17 every week. Douehi is about the only bloke who deserves the recognition for his work (Laurie as well, but he's injured).

I'd put Cini at fullback, put Brooks at 14 with Madden at 7, Simpkins at 9, maybe Docker-Clay at 6 if he travelled up with us. Get Douehi back out on the edge which worked well against Broncos. You have Talau and Mamolo and read them the riot act to perform or it's goodbye. Same with Noffa.

Not sure about the forwards - maybe start with Stefano & Tamou, then get Blore & Tuki on afterwards. Run with Twal off the bench. Luciano to start but be warned about performance.

The status quo has been annoyingly bad and I'd rather give people who want a shot a try to do something.

Bugger. Stuck with him for at least 5 weeks :/

We are probably gone for the top this year, but we still need to steer clear of the spoon, can't blood too many at once, though we have given quite a few a run this year already?

I’d rather tempt fate and use the balance of the season as constructively as I could.

I think we have moved beyond being too proud to worry about the spoon and there’s a real danger our “best side” will deliver it anyway sadly, which is worst case all round.

It could also provide the good juniors with some impetus that their efforts this year are not in vain. A reward of sorts.

Fans and the league public could see real and genuine change unfolding.

I’m not holding my breath.

The spoon is safe because I cannot see Canterbury winning 5 games straight.

So we're saved for 2021. 2022 though...

Maybe the same 3 who sit around the table to decide who’s recruited - Pascoe Hartigan and Madge are also the same 3 that choose the team each week…that would explain the lack of bold game day picks…Surely not, but something has not been right for a long time with selections

My understanding is that Madge wholly selects the side from availables. @Vic Mackey can confirm.

But your point Is otherwise really well made. Definately been an issue selecting uninspired players. Persisting with bj and the treatment of cini…to name a few.

To label this aspect of his coaching anything greater than a “dogs breakfast” would be disingenuous.

Those looking to question Madge’s prowess or even competence at this juncture, would find his extraordinary selections, fertile ground for their submissions

Furthermore on board stuff - why is it that Hodgo wanted out so badly and left to Hull first chance he got? Why did Kimmorley leave after one season of NYC coaching (some say Fox conflict of interest, but eh, he left Fox soon after as well).

My hope is that Sheens can come in and put the cleaners through. Trim the dead weight, even if they have to pay out a release of contract and can swindle it like a medical retirement [sponsored by Bryden's so surely there's some loophole]. Splash at fringe blokes who are hungry to make a name.

Because his wife and young kids lived in France, so he wanted to be close with them.

Sheens is brutal and the worse the club is travelling, the more power he will wield.

He won’t leave any stone unturned.

I’d be interested to see what happens when internal conflict arises amongst the power brokers. My guess is that he’s been in a serious dialogue with all senior parties but still forming a view as to best way to recovery.

Id say that would involve some direct player interaction of some kind. That’s his strong suit.

And I don’t want a savage physical off season when only twenty percent are responding.

Fitness seems less of an issue than composure and desire.

To take stock of where we are, I’d give him 3 months to settle in. Our problems are too numerous and profound for any quick fix.

I’m announcing my “quick exit list” of players tonight. It’s subject to a replacement, but we need to push them out. I’d be pleased for any alternate view.

Subject to replacement:

* I think we have to bite the bullet and let Brooks go. He’s underperforming, too expensive and inconsistent. This year it took him almost third of the season to even get to vanilla half. He’s not improving. No offence to him personally in any way.

It's not personal is it.

I don't know about Brooks. We need better and yet he has probably been our best player this season. Laurie, Douiehi & Brooks. Luc's defense has been puss so he doesn't deserve to be in the list of our top players.

There are a couple of things that concern me about getting rid of him. He is one of the only guys who can defend in our team and our defense is puss. I also reckon he is better than about 50% of halfbacks in the comp. I don't think Moses is better than Brooks and he has had much more opportunities. That might change.

I also don't believe he is on top dollar.

I see so many issues in our team atm. Our backs are the worst in the comp. We have players that make way too many mistakes. The difference between the best and worst games of our top players is huge.
