Agreed.
I think the only one that could be dropped would be Garner, since Sue pulled his finger out.
Once the Dragon forwards are puffing hard, Liddle to rip it up!

Certainly not dropped on form, he’s looked every bit a first grader. However with Lawrence back, MCK killing it and ET able to play there we just don’t need another back rower.

Even though Farah’s been good I felt Liddle put us back on track when he came on v the Raiders. His pace out of dummyhalf worried them and got us a penalty at a vital time. He needs to be in the 17 for the rest of the year IMO

4 bench forward is really only needed if you don’t have back rowers who play big minutes.

We had 3 forwards on the bench and Alex Twal played 14 minutes on Sunday.

I reckon Liddle should be there. He offers us something different and Robbie has been making some mistakes. Dummy half is a tough position.

Twals minutes are baffling, he went from averaging 50 mins to around 15-20 mins...is there a reason for this? Or is it a ploy by cleary to keep him fresh at the back end of games

If theres players we should be investing in it should be guys like this

I'd keep Garner in, drop Huth, and bring Liddle onto bench. Happy to see Fonua back, just hope we see more diamonds than rocks.

Agree but huth seems to be the coaches pet

Garner would be handy because he can cover the backs if needed aswell as give either Lawrence or chee kam a spell if needed

I agree with what you are saying but this move to leave him out may simply be for his recovery of ongoing injuries. There is every chance the Dragons forwards will smash him, especially Sims who seems to have a bad habit of blindsiding players already held in a tackle.

Maybe Cleary is prepared to not use him for this game but have him fully ready for Manly and Souths....game time is important for Liddle at this time of the year so it is a big call.

I’ve been bewildered about this coz Twal is one of our best carriers of the ball & he’s a solid one on one defender.I was thinking he may have gotten offside with the coach.

I'd like the 14 minutes that Twal had turned into 30 by having him lock the scrum and then move to prop when Packer goes off. Taylor can then come on and take over at lock. Still leaves Sue as next interchange for Matulino. I think they can out enthuse the Dragons and yes, then bring Liddle on (if he was to get promoted) to run their forwards ragged.

I get this as well. He simply wasn't handling first grade well at the start of the season.

I think he has the potential to be a really good dummy half and I want him in the team but the coaching staff have to be careful. I think we are a better team with him playing and if Twal is only getting 15 minutes or so he should have the week off or play reserve grade.

He struggled when he started but so did Chee-Kam and Chee-Kam is starting to look good. We have too many middle forwards at this point but we lack some impact. Sue provides that impact whereas the rest of them don't.

I reckon the coach rates him but the coach isn't dropping Packer, Matulino or Taylor. The only other option is Eisenhuth. Aloiai is another guy who can have an impact. Some tough decisions will need to be made soon.

I reckon it will stay as is. If we go with a game plan to absolutely bash their middle forwards and give Hunt no go forward to play off the back of then we will completely shut them down.

The only concern is their back row, which is f**king solid, but I reckon the boys are up for it

Any one notice we are not putting any pressure on the kickers? It really stood out against The Raiders. They had all the time in the world to take their kicks. This is a bit of a worry, Hunt will be looking for a big one.

They are not in form but still have a quality team on paper. If we can start out like against raiders I can see the dragons not putting a fight up like the raiders did.
