On the game, it definitely looked like we were trying to win that game by 20 from the opening whistle - and to be fair they probably did if they wanted to make finals.

However at half time and 6-0 down, they needed to forget about the margin and just focus on getting the 2 points. This didn't happen and that's on the spine and senior players imo.

Brooks has been really good this year. Yes he has put in some average performances but he has been one of the best halves this year in the comp.

The criticism needs to be fair.
You cannot be considered one of the best halves in the comp and lose half your games unless you are a future immortal playing in a team devastated through injury.
I consider Brooks to be level pegging with Sezer from the Raiders. They are good, sometimes great but will never win you a comp.

That is a shame, the experience would have been very beneficial plus the fact that the ISP team will be playing in September and a real No 9 is what the team needs.

If hes only gonna get 14-15 minutes in first grade why even play him at all? Clearys tactics are pretty weird

It's highly unlikely an inexperienced rookie will turn a game in 1st grade in such short amount of time.

Imo he should have been left in reserve grade to help out them, he wouldve played a vital role in helping them in the semis as well as developing as an 80 min hooker at the same time

I guess Cleary must have thought that he 'may need some spark' and 9 was the position. He couldn't do an about face and start moving ET to 9 to add the spark although he could have always moved Farah from 9 to 13.

I guess at the end of the day, 1st grade does has priority but in this case, I believe that for the long term benefit of the team would have better served having Liddle play 80 minutes per game into September.
