I thought Jennings played better tonight with his haircut ...he looked 10 years younger
Rob Jennings is only 23. Haha

The 2 Roosters signings are so valuable atm. If only we persisted with Momi earlier and with his goal kicking we may have already been entrenched in the 8 by now
I reckon Momo is one of the most interesting players in the game. He appears to be slow and lacking physical impact. He also does so many things right. He deserves a wrap.
Agreee with you both....very solid player who deserves a first grade spot for the rest of the season....and at centre. His hit ups and defensive capability make up for it though. Knights right side attack was basically non existent because of him (and others of course)

If Marshall plays on next year it has to be at 9 IMO

I'll offer it again. ..he's our new (now kicking extraordinarily well ) '05 Shane Elford.... That we landed these two who have trained and played in a premiership winning season under Robinson and Cronk is quite something...moreso that they actually WANTED to come
Bradley is not up to the top level, he needs vast improvement, I’ll go so far as to say unless we lose a couple to broken legs, without massive improvement he won’t play in NRL.If the cap doesn't prevent it, I would expect Bradley to start. I'd also expect Jennings will be spending all off season cutting and doing sprint training.

I’m not a fan of Jennings but he looks like he has lost a couple of kgs, and has had an attitude adjustment, was ok last night. Didn’t see a lot of ball in attacking positions because Brooks kept passing to Garner, which looked dangerous but was overused. Brooks was fantastic, tigers attack was a little deeper last night, and Newcastle’s line speed was non existent, Brooks exploited it. Particularly impressed with his ability to pull Mata’utia out of the line, really isolated him as a defensive weakness. There was a point there where someone giving Marshall credit for a Nofoaluma try on the last tackle, Benji’s play was a contributor but it was Brooks try, he noticed Newcastle players dropping back to defend a kick, had a quick run that out Newcastle at sixes and sevens and passed it to a flying Benjina, beautiful to watch.
Marshall was amazing, both at dummy half and in general.
Our young forwards are showing promise, a big off season of squatting and deadlifting will put a bit of bulk on the lads for next season. Clark and Mikaele are going great. Garner had a blinder, Matterson was starchy as usual.
Momirovski is settling in well, is a little slow but was strong in attack and defence and his goal kicking is coming along nicely. Mbye might find himself having to do 40 tackles a game from hooker, or the bench utility.
Reynolds was enthusiastic, his service was a little here and there, better than ET though, and will definitely get better.
We’ll finish 9th again this year
. There were No kicks under pressure yesterday..he’s not proven just yet ...The question is can Madge overcome the should have could haves ...If he can he learns from them and we forget them...if not then we can dwell on them ...We still need Mbyes kicking for the last minute pressure kick to win against the sharksExactly and that is the problem. As exciting as this win was, I keep thinking back to the game
Haha if momo had played from the start of the year, and kicked, we would be on the 8. Amazing
s we lost by 1 or 2 points (3 from memory) due to goal kicking. Had we got those in the bank we'd be deep in the 8....oh well spilt milk now.
Benji was 10 x better than anyone else last night ...He was floating last night...but once again no pressure ..That was Reynolds first game back last night for a while so go easy on him..I havnt heard anything bad about him yet so that’s good ...Madge is thinking outside the square for a change using both Benji and Reynolds.. Benji could go to hooker if we get a gun 6 down the line and then can offload Reynolds but for the moment we are covered for the run in.. .....Be interesting to see next week how much that win was because of our “experiment” or just soft opposition....Good post but I don't agree with this. Benji was unreal all over the park and he has been unreal all year. He is a great player and we need him next year. He is 10 times the player Reynolds is.
C’mon let’s not over exaggerate , Benji had a good game, showed off his experience and nous. You talk of no pressure and I agree but occasionally they are great sort of games to have, the Tigers were really clicking last night with some beautifully executed plays, the games are good in that they are tougher than anything you can get on the training paddock but they give you the opportunity to try out plays in a more competitive environment, it can only be of benefit, it was probably 3 weeks too late for us though. St George are very much in the same boat as Newcastle and Cronulla aren’t at their best either (yeah they lapped the Warriors but they were diabolical), they’re great games to take into the finals pity we don’t have an extra 2 or 4 points under our beltsBenji was 10 x better than anyone else last night ...He was floating last night...but once again no pressure ..That was Reynolds first game back last night for a while so go easy on him..I havnt heard anything bad about him yet so that’s good ...Madge is thinking outside the square for a change using both Benji and Reynolds.. . O geez not you with the “If only would have should have.” too....As in life it’s “can we overcome” ...This is a script already written.....We are just going to find out if we had the balls to do it .....Everyone appeared pumped and ready to break down walls yesterday and with that will come good ref calls and it will overcome any weaknesses eg lack of gun players ....I agree with u that yesterday was important ...the perfect training run with some pressure ..that feeling of crushing and embarrassing the opposition would have been a new feeling for the boys but invaluable for next 2 weeks ...having touched that ..C’mon let’s not over exaggerate , Benji had a good game, showed off his experience and nous.
