To be fair on Mann he has played a good part of the year with a painful sternum injury and bared the brunt of Browns constant changing of positions. He just hasnt had a decent crack to show us what he's got.

Our only decent run this season was with him at 5/8

And with Pearce playing out of his skin.

Had a lot more to do with it than Mann at 5/8

Massive hole at centre next year.

Where would you play him though?

Made sense at the time when Watson was playing fullback
I hope Watson uses the off season wisely and off his own bat contacts the Johns brothers and goes for plenty of 1 on 1 tuition ahead of next season, he has a lot to learn and a few skills to add before he is anywhere near a first choice spine player.

If he doesnt put in a lot more to his career it will stall as soon as he loses a few yards of pace with age.

Surely the coaching staff poured the passing work into his pre season training the past 2 yrs.

you would think so, I'm at a loss as to why he cant do it.

Maybe he just needs to slow down? he does play at a gazillion miles an hour.

Centre has proved a problem area this season as well as previous, Hunt and Moga look best options with Best as inexperienced option. Sione is probably next best with Mann based on experience alone. Losing Ramien was disappointing but we must move on. Hopefully we find one or two coming through or buy someone to fit in, realistically not Sione (better of bench) or Mann (probably reserves/backup) but realistically injuries do occur.
