Regarding Jones, he has been with us a long time, lots of games u20’s and reserves, way over due to show us what he has got, up for contract extension or NRL oblivion, in a way I hope he gets his chance and nails it but for me he should have made it by now considering our team has been a bit weak for a few seasons and now getting stronger
just turned 22 so yeh he's at the age of now or probably never. Sione had already been in first grade for 4 years.

Best at centre is our biggest attacking weapon with no Ponga. I don't see the appeal of moving him to a position he's never played, where he'll have less space, and where he'll be running at bigger and stronger players.

I don't really rate their back 5 and the halves are very inexperienced. Will come down to our middle forwards winning that battle IMO. If we do, our spine (Watson especially) should be able to cause some problems playing over the advantage line. If we don't, Korisau will be tough to stop. Sione and Gehemat have a big job to do on Kikau. They are the 2 biggest threats, Crichton off the bench is one to watch as well.

Agreed on their 1-7. I just looked at their line-up again and it's quite ordinary generally imo. I just don't have a good feeling about this game which means we'll probably win by 50.

So glad footy is back!

I do think the Panthers will win this but I hope we show some good signs. Watson has potential to break this game wide open - wouldn't mind backing him to get a couple tries or a hattrick.

1. Tex Hoy, 2. Edrick Lee, 3. Enari Tuala, 18. Bradman Best, 5. Hymel Hunt, 6. Kurt Mann, 7. Mitchell Pearce, 8. David Klemmer, 9. Connor Watson, 10. Daniel Saifiti, 17. Aidan Guerra, 12. Sione Mata'utia, 13. Herman Ese'ese. INTERCHANGE: 14. Chris Randall, 15. Jacob Saifiti, 16. Tim Glasby, 19. Brodie Jones

Shibasaki replaced by Best, Tuala will move to right centre I imagine

Can’t wait to see Sione- after spending the last 4-5 seasons getting shifted around, I get the feeling that this is going to be a breakout season for him.
