AD and Seyfarth are 2 completely different looking players so I got that wrong.....But Seyfarth is big and strong and I don’t mind him on the field.

AD was great, Nofo mesmerising. Did u see Benjis left handed spiral miss out pass to Nofo..That inside pass from Nofo to Garner was unreal but the catch by Garner while spinning in the air and then to score the try was as impressive..

Our guys had the ball so early from Grant they had to get used to that.

But Check out Benjis miss out pass to Nofo ..it comes from a low arm position so u just cant see it coming..Then spirals upwards higher than expected. Its like an underwater missile ..it goes fast for the arc it’s making but is accurate anyway. That gave Nofo heaps of time.

We’ve been losers for so long..just need time to flick that perspective. At least we got a taste of coming back from the dead and kicking ass today.

The team that controlled the ball best during this game also had control of the game by posting points.Good signs anyway to come from behind and finish off strongly, hopefully we will progress and become a better team, although our RHS defence was still ordinary and needs to be sorted for us to be better, I think MCK and ZM would also strengthen our side if they come onto the bench as we seemed to lack some punch when the bench forwards came on tonight.
Anyway good to see the WT back and even better when we have a win:thumbsup:

As good as Musgrove was in the first two games, Im glad he didn't play tonight. The game has quickly moved to cater for teams with smaller, mobile forwards....which really suit us.

That game has really got me excited for the rest of the season and Im normally a negative nelly when it comes to the Tigers prospects. These new rules are definitely in our favour if we play to them right. Madge has got even our bigger blokes like Luciano slimmed down which really bodes well for challenges ahead. I do see why Musgrove was not picked and the onus will be on him to lose a few kgs. When he was a youngster at Souths, he was actually quite trim.

Douhei: Safe and secure. I love Thompson but Douhei is our way forward here. He will only get better the more he plays in that position.

Nofaluma: A very much underrated attacker in the eyes of most NRL fans. I suspect that will change by the end of this regular season. Still has some work to do in defence but I suspect that will get better as time goes on with Leilua.

Leilua: Not the best first half but he did impose himself much better in the second half. We still need more from this guy but his second half was very encouraging. He needs to lose a few kgs.

M'Bye: Our fans like to knock this bloke and sometimes with good reasons. However, I thought his defence against a very tough to tackle opponent in Ramien was excellent. If he continues that, Talau will have to wait a lot longer for a shot. Defending in the centres is the toughest spot on the field and I give him an A+ on that effort yesterday. Has some work to do in attack and hopefully that comes along.

Jennings: He did what he had to do most times. He keeps the spot for the near future.

Benji: Gee, I wish he played this smart earlier in his career. Ego in the back pocket and does what needs to be done with 100% effort. Combines very well with Brooks.

Brooks: These new rules fit Brooks like a glove. Im tipping a massive year for him.

Aloai: Massive game from him and will be so valuable as the year goes on with these rules. Tough and very mobile.

Grant: We have absolutely hit the jackpot with this bloke. An absolute shame that we will have to actually "return" him at the end of the season. If we lose him, he is absolute evidence that we will absolutely replace him on the open market. Fingers crossed we keep him though.

Mikaele: Did some good tough stuff early. Will get better as the year goes on.

Garner: Not the best game from him but he does look a threat....worth persevering.

Leilua: Absolute stone cold beast. Lean and mean and a constant threat with the ball in hand. LOVE HIM!!!!

Twal: The move to lock is a great one. It should have happened sooner. Whale of a game from the Tigers version of "Mr Dependable".

Clark: No great impact but made his tackles. Will be valuable as the season goes on with his mobility.

Walters: Picked up where Grant left off. Reynolds will have a very tough time getting into this side.

Lawrence: Limited time on field....we will need him as the season progresses with more miles in his legs.

Seyfarth: Ok debut. He doesn't mind tackling. Probably not quite ready for first grade but at least he got a taste of it.

Since when do we come back and control a game ?
At halftime, every one of the Fox commentators said " Sharks are ahead by 6 at this stage . . . or something like that. Sharkies had taken the momentum of the game from us, and based by the 3 earlier games played under the new rules . . . nobody comes back from a momentum surge.
Everyone thought we were gone, and to tell you the truth, me and Jack Daniels thought so too !
It's only one game, but you have got to like our second half.
f**king Banasta ! He just doesn't shut up. One of these games I'm gonna shoot the TV.
Edit: The game has been missing an out and out absolute prick. It's been a few years since we had one.

I think we will keep Grant and when we get Momo back we will have most bases covered.

Agreed on all counts. Mulitalo is very easy to hate, Anasta is the blurst of commentators and since when do we grind our way back into a match? Sharkies were putting the hurt on in defence and their points came off the back of that. If halftime hadn't been blown, Sharks just would have continued on their merry way of putting points on. Traditionally, when a team has done that to us, they go on to win the match. Whatever Madge said to the boys at halftime certainly did the trick. That come back showed a lot of heart.

Agree, but without their captain WG, we would have put a cricket score on them.

The irrelevant Ronaldo. I remember thinking he was a merkin of a thing in last years sharks game, well he proved it again last night. Needed a good one on the chin

Nofo deserves a massive rap as well. He was fantastic. I watched the tries Cronulla scored down that edge and I don't see how he was to blame for that. Graham is a special player and he set up two tries perfectly. The kick was unstoppable other than the fullback covering it up which he didn't. The pass was something that happens and Nofo didn't do anything wrong.

Nofo's finishing was unreal. Some of his hit-ups weren't great but his hit-ups are consistently really freaken good.

We were ! at 16-10 down until Nofo manufactured 2 consecutive tries from nowhere to take it to 20-16 Game Over !! (who’s seen a winger sidestep a wall of 8 opposition players from the kick restart to score a try like that)
You can see in the replay when Nofo is returning the ball hes searching for a gap and immediately sees it but he only looks with his eyes, his head stays straight ahead ..then he does an MJ slowly heads left and then Boom!! cuts back to the right and with a Fend he’s through the gap between Townsend and Dougan

Getting that winger to think he was running to the right at the last minute only to step left and TRY took some nerve as well.

It’s not about what u can do it’s what u can do under pressure..

And Nofa’s inside cut out pass with his first try to Garner was ridiculous..All the players thought the ball must be going to LL including luckily Ronaldo who came around to defend at the last minute and he chose LL to tackle instead of Garner ..Only Garner new it was coming to him

Plenty of players including Aloiai were getting nowhere with the runs off our line at times..Nofo didn’t go backwards. He held tough. And nothing wrong with running sideways ..It just means hes not dead and there’s a chance for him to make another ridiculous break.
