These were our best two but Nofo was great. So was Benji.

I am one of nofos biggest fans however it wasn’t one of his best games, too much sideways crab running still and lost metres on a couple runs. Not to mention the RHS disaster in the 1st half

he just happened to be involved in the 2 tries that helped us win the game, a perfect cutout pass by Benji and a weird slow pace jog followed by awful defense by Cronulla

The “weird slow paced jog” was Nofa scanning for a gap instead of getting the ball and just running, like most other players would do.

In the replay on Foxtel it gives u a front angled close up during that jog...u can clearly see his eyes scanning right and stopping and having a good look when he sees the gap but keeping his head straight ahead so the opposition dont know that he’s seen it..It’s only because Dugan doesn’t know he’s seen it that Dugan leaves it open and in fact the gap gets bigger...Then Nofo starts to look left and go left intentionally as a dummy move and then only at the last minute cuts back right to take the gap he’s sure will be still be there...It wasn’t by accident it was all by design.. .after getting through the gap he then beat the winger with little angle to work with for TRY.

..and the second try of course the beautiful pass from Benji but with a ton of work to do including beating a man with a fend then having the presence of mind while sprinting down the right touch line to eyeball Garner and nail a 15 metre left side cut out pass with his left foot forward at the point the ball is released. Thats twice as difficult...Try it it is. But that was the moment the ball had to go - now that’s a perfect cut out pass - equal to Benjis.....

and “Just happened to be involved in two tries” Pi- lease ...1 Nofa created both of them scoring one himself and both needing some kind of nerve..2 he executed like few others could and I think your being a bit over dramatic with the rest ...
Firstly Nofo getting pushed backwards is a myth, I’ve checked, and even if it were true “a couple of times” and if anything negligible - big deal.

I cant see a problem with running sideways if it keeps the play alive while he’s looking for a gap to punish, can you....

and the “RHS disaster” if u look closely you’ll see that the first try, Nofo was marking his man it just took a good last second kick through that AD should have been ready for but wasn’t...the second try Nofa had to tackle 2 players because Benji missed the inside man that scored..and the third was just to the left of the sticks

Nofo didn't have a great game or a rubbish game but that try was due to awful defence by cronulla and nothing more. Dugan and Townsend should be stood down for a week for that effort.

He gets pushed back in tackles more often than that, the stupid shit where he scoots the ball from dummy half, pauses then runs back into the markers annoys me.

I put his try down to nothing more than crappy defense, despite what you say

Ok so let’s take out the “big gap”...Dugan can take credit for that...(although I think if Nofo could have taken that gap when he first saw it he would have..He looked at it for long enough..but it would have been easily closed by Dugan at that point coz he’s expecting Nofo to run) but ok forget the gap...Nothing changes Nofos still got to beat the man in the corner with little angle to work with and then create a try starting at halfway that requires a step fend and pulling off a near impossible cut out pass under duress.

He changed the course of the game from we are going to lose to we are going to win in the blink of an eye..Thats all wingers need to do to be MOM. That’s their bread and butter.

He ran 187 odd metres so he can’t have done too badly...Without Nofo, theres a better than average chance we lose

No more than Aloiai They were both rag dolled That’s all. No big deal. Those Samoan boys love that shit..There’s no going backwards tho. Their both staunch in the tackle. In fact the only reason Nofo seemed like he was being beaten up in the tackle so much is because he was looking for work when things got tough. Those Cronulla forwards are going to rag doll anyone coming off the line once they've got a sniff.

Well if you wanna look at stats Rob Jennings made 150 odd meters aswell and scored a try. I thought everyone played a part but i don’t think nofo was MOtM worthy

I don't think he deserved the MOTM but he was good. He scored one try out of nothing and it was critical and he also finished really well in Garners try. He also didn't do much if anything wrong in defence.

The Dally m's aren't perfect either are they. Benji was great but I think Brooks was better. Graham was unreal but we had some really good performances and we won. Grant was great but I don't think he was in our best 3.

I just heard Madge talk on Fox and he gave Twal and Brooks big wraps.

Benji didn’t do enough to win it...Graham had a couple of lucky kicks. Grant had a fairytale start that’s all, Then chimed in like Brookes as would be expected. Brookes didn’t make any wow factor kicks or runs where he’s properly linked with someone for a result or that changed or sustained momentum or made much impression on the scoreboard. His runs seemed more like he was hoping for the best. At least there were 2 or 3 of them. His pass to Mckaele, a back to front pass that could only go forward and did was lucky to not have consequences. And he was lucky his last tackle kick into the opposition was saved by the captains call. Jennings returned to his rocking best catching and falling over the try line...

If you think Graham’s kicks were “lucky” then you probably haven’t watched him play before. Also considering nofo is a serial offender for being out of position...smh lol
Nofos got broad shoulders he can win the game and take the blame for other players mistakes... That doesn’t bother him...Every player has lucky kicks esp the opposition.
