Thompson and Sue is a pretty effective double punch coming off the bench to relieve the Safs.

I still feel a bit underwhelmed when I see Crossland's name on the bench. But realistically we don't have anyone else who can really fill that role now that Watson's gone.

Maybe Edrick could be a late smokey? Just like Alex has already said, I have a similar feeling that we're going to need our experienced players on the field to win this game. I hope Dom has been working on his ability to turn against grubber kicks because he got found out badly against the Panthers in that department.

I also feel like we don't lose much at all with Barnett out for a while and Jones in his place. Jones is an out-and-out backrower, plays at a million percent, is a rock solid defender and isn't prone to brain snaps.

But I still can't get over the fact the club didn't go to market for another backrower in the offseason, because if Friz or Jones go down we're looking at real slim pickings.

I kept hearing we were after Luki and Nanai. Didn't plan out but I'm super glad we are targeting players of that caliber.

I desperately want Jones to be good… but he just isn’t. Same for Jirah really.

but hey they are what we have so hope he proves me wrong.

Weighing up the pros and cons of each side playing in the horrible conditions that will be tomorrow.

Sharks
- Hynes will control the game well
- Strike weapons won't be as effective
- Ramien will make errors

Knights
- Clifford's bombing will be a huge weapon
- Ponga is great under the highball
- Our expansive attacking game won't work

I think it'll come down to whichever team makes the less errors will win. We have been pretty good completion wise so I think we can win this by 4-6 points.

It's the type of game Mann could turn their big middle forwards inside-out while theyre stuck in the mud..

We might revert back to our old power game.. Hopefully see plenty of balls turning Frizell back inside on the angle which he is great at and will be amplified by the conditions.

Is Frizell’s knee ok and he’s definitely playing? I keep expecting to hear that he’s out for a week or two after the knock that he copped in the panthers match.

I love watching games in ridiculous weather conditions. Hope we handle it better than the Sharkies! The wind does some wild thing at that stadium.
