Cows maybe, use to have a pretty good record against Melbourne at Leichhardt.

Cowboys, Warriors are probably two teams we always seem to be beat. Maybe Dragons too

For some reason we have the wood over Souffs lately, despite them having a better roster. I think we have beaten them the last 3 in a row

I've had a look at the Doggies team and don't see any debutants or players returning from long injury layoffs, so that is a positive sign, considering how we usually let players in those categories star against us. On the other hand I do see Sauaso Sue on the Doggies bench, so there's a chance for an ex-Tiger to have their one good game of the year. Also a chance for Napa to look like a rep player.

Covid-19 Tolman will most likely have a blinder !
Seriously though, Tolman trying to score on 4th or 5th tackle should be easy picking for the forwards if they keep tackling like the last few weeks.
Brooks must outplay his opposite number who is new to 1st grade (still).
Reynolds will lift against his old club, he can show them what they missed out on (Pay wanted to sign him and the board said no, apparently).

I’d love to see Reynolds be the game breaker and earn some of that coin.

I think teams put us down as one of the wins when tallying up and so prob lift for us ..not coz we are no good but because of performances like last week..They know If they just keep pushing we can fall, like a deck of cards..

.Last week all things being equal should have been the best thing that could have happened resulting in a good run from here ..Problem is for any team with weak players in attack {Backs only} eg both halves, Mbye(why would he care he’s set for life now) Talau (out of position - from what Ive seen he was born a centre and he’s a Rookie) there needs to be reliably strong players to more than compensate eg AD, Grant, Nofo ...( Joel L isn’t strong yet) ..but Grants the only one of these that frequently touch the ball..Therefore Attitude needs to be at peak level across the park until the others return ...Joey L needs to pull finger, Brookes needs to flick the switch (He was a big factor in our wins last year), Mbye needs to keep kicking goals and hopefully not have to defend in open play coz it’s too much for him..(well was last week anyway). And Maybe Reynolds needs to talk less and just get his game rolling and keep it simple

I put Pay in the same category as Brad Arthur as a coach .. when Arthur came very close to being dropped before his Roster improved..Hard to predict this game

Exactly. I'd be happy with an average performance in attack without the mistakes along with good defense.

No f**ken intercept passes or kicks on the 2nd tackle or just general stupid plays. He did that in his first game back and he made a positive contribution to the team. He does have a decent kicking game and his kick chase can be really good.

This team consensus thing where the spine call the shots when we get in trouble.. gives me the shits (listen to AD ‘s interview yesterday that Vic posted) ...I can imagine the forwards (and backs) hearing mixed messages from 4 different voices and not one person willing to let rip when needed..Hence when the cowboys started coming back last week it just accelerated

As long as we go into it with the mentality that Bulldogs are a better team than us and it is going to be an 80 minute struggle to win...then we will be get the 2 points.

If we go in like we are the better team, put 18 points on them in 20 minutes then we will lose 20-18

Pretty simple isn’t it

I am sure Pay knew what he was up for when he launched his campaign for coach and it’s played out as predicted.

But losing the two miscreant school yard perverts was a big blow as they were both looking ominous.

It happened on his watch and I’m still wondering why they kept him.

I think our side is still getting used to the new rules and I’m not sure Madge has closed the knowledge gap there.

That second half last week was torture for Madge. He expects much more than that.

But we have the right forwards for this era. That’s a big advantage. Not too many loafers or fat boofs.

But it’s not the best era for the aged and infirm.

Obviously not making excuses, but those three injuries absolutely killed our momentum and we struggled to keep the defensive structure we had in first half. I honestly reckon if we hadn't had those injuries we would have won by 40+

Joey L probably got a proper reaming from the coach after the Newcastle game. He has been solid, without being spectacular...probably under coaches instruction.

Anyways if we beat the titans we are sitting comfortably in the 8 with this game in hand. Pretty important we win this game to keep the momentum going

Next 5 are

Dogs (should be winning)

Penrith (probably lean towards Penrith but anything can happen)

Souffs (their game this weekend should tell us where they are really at. 50/50)

Brisbane (should be winning, but I get the feeling Brisbane will click eventually)

Parra (don’t think we can beat them this year)

4/5 would be outstanding but I think 3/5 is more realistic

I’d be surprised if we win one of those games.

Dogs have a solid side but lack a little class in the spine. If you get into a arm wrestle they will win. Not all that confident, they are a better side than the Titian’s and have a similar record against us.
I personally think Reynolds holds the key, if he can keep his snap brain dead plays in the change rooms and do what he is good as we should do ok
