Losing Ponga would mark the lowest point for the club and signal abject failure. I also don't think it would be the worse thing but the consequence is dire.
the optics to the Knights brand would be devastating, hard to imagine any player wanting to invest their career in Newcastle.

We are witnessing a failure in management over a number of years to capitalize on a generational player.

I feel sorry for Ponga

It’s interesting a maverick, albeit deeply flawed, former owner nearly got us to where we should be. Tinkler had a sack
And then some. I miss his bravado.

I don’t feel sorry for Ponga at all. He gets paid 1.4 mill to put in once a month currently.

I feel sorry for the thousands of people that show up week after week paying their hard earned money to have this shit consistently served up to them. I’m lucky I don’t live in Newcastle or I’d be there with them.

And FTR I’m not usually one that has an issue with Kalyn’s salary…although it can’t be ignored either.

I reckon this'll be my last year as a paying member. I can't keep doing it to myself, and Dylan Brown ain't fixing this at all

He immediately went about getting the best to do a job.

Wests have zero experience in managing an NRL club, and been on a steep learning curve.

Wests marrying themselves to Adam O'Brien for half a decade (more coming too) for zero reward is 100% a root part of the cause and it'll be difficult to convince me otherwise. He's a dud that got us to play good footy for 10 weeks in 5 years (mainly because Kalyn Ponga caught fire in a rare purple patch).

We keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. He has to go. He won't, but until he does nothing dramatic will change. This is us under O'Brien. This is normal.
