Too right... Sione has dropped off the top of the NRL's missed tackle list since his 2 weeks rest began. He has improved out of sight!!!!!
your belief that Sione is a crap player is something I can only compare to some peoples belief in a sky daddy- delusional.

Watson had a shocker last week, but I don’t question his effort. Looks very dangerous at times, just lacks polish. Probably the bloke Pearce is most comfortable partnering with. At least there was a 20min period where our attack looked reasonable last week

Now I'm far from a critic of Sione, but him playing 6? ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. f**k me dead, does Brown really want to wake up without a job on Monday?

I can't wait to finally get a coach who knows how to best use Watson like Robinson did.

doesnt make sense does it. Just leave the halves alone ffs and let them get into a rythme. We dont need 3 front rowers on the bench anyway. I'd give Gavet a spell in reserves after his effort last week.
The entire forward rotation is idiotic. We've got like 7 forwards who pretty much do the same thing at varying levels. Klemmer, Gavet, Barnett, Glasby, Saifiti, Ese'ese and King are all middle forwards who run straight up and down, there's just no variety or deviation in our pack, it's easy for opposition teams to rush up in D as with that rotation of players the game plan is pretty obvious and with so many big, less mobile forwards the opposition small men can have a field day as Tyrone Roberts did last week.

Agreed, none of them with a bit of footwork or an offload . Sticky had the same problem with the Raiders pack and has changed to a lighter more mobile pack this year.

FFS

You're a dramatic one at times KV.

Atm at NRL level, Sione is a decent bench option. Barnett is a decent bench option. Watson is a bench player etc, etc.

These blokes are not high quality footballers. The fact we have to play then in the starting side at times advertises our lack of depth here.

Why do you keep thinking they are quality footballers?? Is it because of that 75 man emerging Blues squad from 2 yrs ago?

If anything, our players are going backwards atm. Maybe a different coach could turn them around?

Delusional.

Herman has footwork and an offload but for some reason that's all gone to puss here at Newcastle.

Agreed, this seems to have been coached out of him, same can be said of Barnett, when he got here he was offloading on every second carry but he doesn’t seem to do it much at all now.

They get coached to complete sets because completions = wins (apparently).
Never taking any chances = no threat in attack.

WTF did Brown go to the Laurie Daley school of coaching? FFS.

Chop and change. Chop and change. No wonder our spine can’t find any f***ing rhythm.

Yep, this is one of the biggest reasons we haven’t scored many points. Pearce has had 4 different halves partners already and if Sione plays there then that’ll make it 5. Not ideal for a team that’s struggling to gel.
