Hopefully the luck stays with us in the second half.

Our goal line defence is pretty impressive. The issue is we do too much of it and get run over

We did good that half. Sione hasn't been a superstar half, making sensible decisions when he has the ball, but it just shows how much Hodko has been actively f**king up more than anything.

Siones D has been superb, though.

All and all, you'd have to be happy with that.

We are too bunched and flat in attack on the occasions we have the ball.
Doing a good job in defence of going in around the legs and turning them over.

I can just see the refs in the sheds getting a pep talk from the refs boss. 'Guys, the knights aren't expected to win, so let's give the cows a few more penalties coming of their end, and make sure every 50/50 penalty goes against the knights'

This game has convinced me our biggest issue isnt a half. We need some big fwds who can dominate the middle. Lamb and <insert name> will be fine for 2018 but we need to do better in the pjgs

Bag our forwards all you want, they compete well every week and make decent metres up the middle. We just lack
That X factor forward like LoLo

Biggest issue is props, but halves is certainly close behind. We need multiple game breakers - Ponga is one, but we need another in the halves.

Think it's still too early to be concerned. He's 20, with 11 first grade games, a backrower in the halves beside him, no leadership in the team.

Massive ask for the kid to excel so soon.

I'm not expecting him to excel but I haven't really seen anything in his skill set to suggest we'll see massive amounts of improvement sadly.

Yep. But if we can get the front rowers the halves will come. Why would a gun wanna play behind that pack atm.

More a logical progression than anything else.

I think he has been good today. It isnt just about last tackle options. He has been really involved and got back to cover a kick on our line and got it out of the in goal which showed a lot of awareness. He is also playing behind that pack.

Not sure if you caught Cleary today or this year but he is struggling behind a much better pack than ours. Give the kid a break. He isnt the problen.
