Though I think after the last week we need to find a spot for Latu, in case he loses interest and we end up losing them both.
That's gonna be a dilemma and a half.

Do we try and maximise results with Galvin over the next year and a half knowing that he's leaving and any forward progress we make combo wise, will be for nothing come 2027 at the latest? If you went down this road you'd be saying we were in contention for the comp this tear and next year. Personally I don't think that's a realistic goal but I didn't think winning the comp in 2005 was on the radar either.

If it was me running the team I'd play Latu as soon as was fit. We have to know if he can be 'the guy' pretty soon. If he can't then at least we can say we tried. If we don't try he'll walk out to another club and if he does end up being the next Andrew Johns, we'll lose both players and we'll quite rightly be a laughing stock.......or more of one.

That was so awesome. My knock on this team is that we go to pieces when we get dud calls. I have never in my life seen such a dud call when Pole got 10 minutes. It was unreal. We played tough from that point on though and we got the win.

Doueihi deserves a wrap. He kicked that goal but he has been looking slow and lacking any impact. He came up with some really good runs today.

I thought Galvin was ordinary. Luai needs to take more of the 5th tackle options. To'a can do stuff other centres can't. Turuva is great. May is a beast. Hunt showed that he can give us some impact. Sione was great.

We were awesome. Hopefully they can build from this game because I thought we looked heaps better than Cronulla who are a good team.
I think Luai doesn't get enough credit in this tigers team. Yes he doesn't run the ball as much but he's the voice in that team. Similar to Critchon. The 15mins that he was off for HIA the tigers looked lost on defence and had no direction at all with the ball. This tigers teams winning mentality is different this year. They actually believe that they can beat anyone. I thought May was a machine today. Benji said in the press conference that May got mad at him when he tried to take him off!

I was glad Luai went off and api went to half.. to me Luai looks really unsure about what his go to play is…so he ends up doing his stop start thing and he ends up screeching to a halt..He needs to start with just passing the ball as he did for nsw and then chime in with his running and kicking game when it’s time..
Toa’s running through walls... What a try assist for Turuva. Only a handful of the top centres can do that
I don't know what game you were watching but the tigers looked lost when Luai came off. If you watched the pre season training, you can tell Glavin isn't a talker or organised 6. Even Benji was pushing him to talk more. I feel like Benji gave Luai the task of organizing the defense and attack and let Galvin run the ball more. Even Api said in the press conference a few weeks ago that he gives Luai credit for doing all the talking and setting up plays. The tigers spine when they're all healthy this year have won 4-1 games so far. The fact that they're not even clicking yet and still winning is a positive sign. Imagine how good they'll be by the end of the season.

That was an important win against a probable top 8 team. We need to back it up and beat the dragons next weekend which will be another firey contests
Saints are a strange team. I've seen a bit of them this year and they're strong as, physically. They also have really good shape in attack from their set plays and late tackle plays in the red zone.

However, they can let big leads slip and their goal line defence can be woeful. It's often like watching 2 different teams at times. I'd say they've got about 20 minutes of poor footy in them every week.

I give us a good shot. There'll be no shortage of belief at training this week.

Something is telling Galvin will go this year. I think we are in a better position now than if we had no halves to pick from. I'm sure we have plan, I think we have a plan, we bloody well better have a plan.

I hope we use the roosters game as a blue print. The roosters bashed them and the dragons went into their shell abit.

Their half back also had one of the best individual performances of the year

Either way it’s a game we must win if we wanna keep in touch with the 8 and no reason we can’t beat them

Luai looks like he’s got 5 options in his head and cant quite work out which one to go with..which loses precious time and leads to a stop start type balls up.. Not all the time but enough to piss me off

Yeah I feel that too during the game. But that could also come down to his combination with Galvin. It's a long process and they'll eventually click. But the positive sign is Luai is doing a awesome job leading this team. And his defence needs to be talked about more. His cover tackles on the edge is up there with the best. I mean they just beat the Sharks who are the favorites to make the top 8.

I wouldn’t stress ..Galvins problem is he doesn’t look if there’s something on before he passes the ball..that’s a weakness that by the looks he cant fix .. and means he and Luai will keep stumbling along on the 5th tackle play with some lucky wins like today and some losses that will burn for a grand total of about 9-10th unless something changes..

That’s constructive..and I agree with the defence side of Luai..yea there’s not a lot of fluency ..it’s doesn’t make sense why

I actually thought it was worse than that :)
When did we have a horror start. I'm sure we lost first 5 games recently or am I dreaming again.
2022 we lost 5 on the bounce before knocking over the eels on Easter Monday via a Jackson Hastings field goal.

2023 we lost 7 on the bounce before grinding out a win vs Penrith in the rain in Dubbo.
