Brooks, Mbye and Hoffman just couldn't defend. Grant didn't do much. Our middle forwards weren't great. Aloiai and Mikaele were good. Garner and LL were good.

Their backline is miles ahead of ours.

We didn't have the troops. We don't have a good spine. Reynolds is trying hard but he is pretty shit. Brooks was pretty shit until the end. Benji can play but I think he is past it physically.

Gave them a 50 minute head start in some respects.

But they had a very strong side out there.

Mybe is so bad not only wouldn’t the 3 Queensland teams offer him a gig, Annastacia Palaszczuk wouldn't give him a pass to cross the border.

When Benji came on I actually thought that Brooks would have moved to centre for Mybe.

A positive for me at least, was Lawrence tonight, he should retain his position which will allow them to bring in Packer and McIntyre.

Deflating performance. Just when you think the team might have turned the corner they dish up that.

We still cannot shake the habit of playing well against good teams and then getting dragged into shit fights against lesser teams. Comes down to a lack of leadership and onfield game management.

As soon as Cummins was appointed for this game I knew we'd struggle. The only penalty or 6 again we get is right on half time at the half way. That bunker call was a disgrace, Murray was never onside. I can see the penalty / 6 again count blowing out to about 15 to 2 and then when the game if well over he'll give us about 6 straight to make it look 'fair.' I can't remember the last time we won a game he handled.

Having said that we're shooting ourselves in the foot at every opportunity which isn't helping.

No penalties or set restarts in the first half. I'll be putting the house on our opponents the next time Cummins is in charge. Funny how as soon as we had some field position, we score a try.

Cummins was pathetic and particularly one sided, however we didn’t fire a shot all night. Where was the intensity we had last week? Really disappointing performance but not unsurprising considering the players we had out

I'm disappointed because the players genuinely put in.

There's a shortage of big forwards in the 17 tonight and in the top 30. We cannot carry small props and backrowers (instead of props) on the bench. Madge just complained about a lack of field position in the press conferece. That is a crazy thing to say because if you pick such a small side then that is always likely to happen.

A lot of the forwards we ran tonight are off contract. Contract years generally tend to bring out big effort. There is no shortage of effort among the likes of ET, Eiso and Clark but clearly we cannot compete with the better sides. It sucks to say that because Hame Sele killed it for Souths and he was unwanted all summer. He made our pack look really really bad and he is on minimum wage.

For the rest of the season, we must play Chee Kam and 3 props on the bench. Its a very simple formula.

I hope Packer, Twal and Blore play next week.

Benji seems to be the only one who knew what to do, provided directions (something we clearly lacked from our halves) and was actually dangerous every time he touched the ball. Shame he wasn’t in the starting team or bought in earlier. We could have won...

Injuries are killing us because ET, Eiso and Clark don't make our top 17. They are hard workers, but they don't have any impact at all and that's we need from our props. The ball Grant gave to Clark close to the line was the perfect example. He never looked close to getting across the stripe. That's what Packer would bring, some impact with the ball in hand.
