That performance showed how far we are from being a threat for a premiership. We'll be 7th to 10th for a little while yet. We are like a cruise ship turning around, it's happening but it takes a while.
Like a Cruise ship ..Good analogy in more ways than one

In all honesty that score line was pretty good for us. I mean we played with some toughness considering we were outgunned. We didn't get a lot of ref calls.

We had absolutely no line speed in defence from an early period in the game which was a big concern last night, maybe the hard games in the earlier weeks leading up to last nights had an effect on the flat performance delivered,it’s no excuse but it was pretty obvious.

Seriously we need a “criticising the ref” fund and really hoe into them in the after match interview...Say $30,000 for 3 weeks worth ...long term it’s prob worth it.

Mitchell’s was far worse than BJ’s he ran in and drew blood with that direct hit with a stiff arm on Reynolds. Top of the scale..But yes 1-2 weeks max.(I heard on Fox for the first time only ex-players and not including ex refs in judiciary so lucky to get anything)

I was just about to write a similar post. Hassler, Stuart and a few others have the refs so on their toes because the refs know they will be called out by these coaches....Madge needs to start before it is too late. If they are sh#t call them for it.

Question assuming your serious ...who does Madge play at 6 next week? Watch that 2nd half again before u answer...
I’d say he’d be playing Marshall, but not through choice. We’ve got real dramas in the halves. I love Benji and he is still good with the ball in his hands. I don’t know if he was carrying an injury a few weeks ago but he was an absolute liability in defence, and he is yards too slow in attack. He can still break the line occasionally but is rounded up within two or three steps, his passing game and kicking game are still pretty good. I’m just not sure he is the best option and I don’t think he made much difference coming on last night. He was lucky that there was a little momentum swing where we got on a bit of a roll when he came on. Much easier for the halves when the forwards get a bit of traction.

Fair enough mate ...Be boring if we all agreed right

Exactly Those coaches are experts at it & you can let the refs know your not happy without criticising them ..just got to choose the wording and the facial expression grunts or whatever correctly ..ask the media what they thought ... at least bring it to the table...but from Madge nothing ..

There could be a choice if Reynolds contests the charges at the judiciary and wins. An early guilty plea will earn him a two week suspension, whereas if he fights the charge and loses, it's three weeks. Given that's only an extra, I reckon its worth the gamble, particularly since everyone wants Benji playing #6 anyway.

Yip accidental and he showed remorse immediately and who can guess what those judiciary clowns are on and what they’ll come up with..they might think a whack in the chops is enough punishment

As awesome as it is to hear Madge giving BJ a spray and a half, I just feel like he lacks the football intelligence to make any real difference to his game. Same reason why Roosters let him go to Raiders, then Raiders to us. It really is a last chance for him to prove he can get to the level he is capable of or he will just end up an average first grader.

As for the Bunnies game, I can't remember the last game I've been more angry at the refs. Our forward pack was completely gassed by having to defend through 3 sets of 6 almost every time Souths had the ball. I don't have the stats but there must have been at least 10 set restarts for Bunnies in that first half. It was a f**king joke.

I should have had a read here first, I just posted the same thoughts in the rumors thread.

BJs been playing like this his entire life. Hes an adult. Hes not going to change now.

Either you want aggression or not. Madge says he likes the aggression, But BJ finds it difficult to find the line between playing aggressive and being stupid.

Just saw another replay of Dog-trell being his dog self to Chris Lawrence and no one from our team runs in or does anything, Bloody nauseating. Bring back the times when merkins who did shit like were the recipient of summary justice.

No summary justice is needed whatsoever.
The NRL has an eagle-eyed MRC committee casting it's omnipresence over our wonderful game.
They will take care of any indiscretion that the onfield officials might somehow have missed.
We are in safe hands.

Hahahahahahaha. What bullshit, Dog-trell only copped a fine for his coward shot on Rowdy and got off scott free when he smashed Fusitu'a the other week. When Reynolds rightfully abused Dog-trell the ref couldn't have been quicker to tell grub to value add else where as he was worried Dog-trell may have had his feelings hurt.

You think he would keep doing it week in week out if he was justifiably smashed in the face. Not a chance. Dog-trell is one of those people who only understand a punch in the head.

It should be like this. I'm starting to dislike Latrel and it's not because he dissed us. It's because it appears he is being protected.
