Next 11 weeks with optimistic tips

tigers - w
Titans - w
Bye
Dogs - maybe (origin week)
Storm - big L
Panthers - big L
Bye (origin week)
Eels - w
Canberra - maybe
Sea Eagles - w (origin week)
Broncos - L

realistically, if kp comes back at 12 weeks, he’ll be back for the broncos game

before then, I have us in and around 5-6 wins (being very optimistic), 2 byes and 2 games we have absolutely no chance in hell of winning

I think all the talk of not being able to win without him has provided a lot of motivation for the rest of the squad. Gamble said as much during the week.

Same thing happened last year when he copped the concussion and we got written off straight away.
Yet they seem fine with criticism that they can't win with him. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Honestly, we could win all of Tigers/Titans/Dogs/Eels/Canberra/Manly or lose them all, neither would surprise me. I think Moses will be back for Eels though.

I’m just taking it one week at a time at the moment. IMO we haven’t shown enough to expect to beat anyone. We could just as likely lose all of them.

We really need to fix our attack. Our current effort is great but it can be very fatiguing and we need to actually develop some good play to fall back on.

Has anyone else been really pleasantly surprised with the form of Brodie Jones the past couple of games?
Yeah he’s been solid, which is basically his MO.
He’s never going to be dynamic but if he can run hard and tackle hard then he can be a useful contributor.

I will highlight that last week Jones came up with 3 really important tackles in a row. The phins had momentum and were offloading repeatedly and starting to look pretty dangerous and Jones managed to get up quickly and shut down Nikorima, then he made a tackle on the next play, and followed that up with that try-saver when the phins tried to crash over on our line. The bloke isn’t aesthetically pleasing as a footballer but his effort can’t be questioned.

How good was our line speed, first contact, post contact metres, kick chase and goal line defense? Hopefully the attack picks up but we were virtually perfect for 90% of the game. Great win lads!

Only able to watch the game just now. Another grinding win, the attitude is certainly there even if the footy isn't a lot of the time. If only we could come up with actual attacking structure inside the opponent's red zone and/or early ball for Best and Gagai.

Speaking of Gagai, when did he become a bomb defusal specialist? Special mention to him and Marzhew for handling most of those in tough conditions, given the Warriors were spilling them all over the place.

I too noticed how bad the Fox commentary has gotten. We all knew Blocker was a flog but Voss' commentary has gone downhill quite a bit, which is a shame as he used to be pretty good. Always looking for controversy in every decision, it gets tiresome.
