I guess the point about De Gois and even Taia for that matter is that the missed tackles may provide further insight into their overall performance.

Theres no doubt that neither De Gois nor Taia has got back to anywhere near their 09 form. Granted both have suffered disrupted season but its also fair to say that De Gois in particular seems to be struggling, he's making a number of uncharacteristic errors, giving away cheap penalties and his running game lacks decisiveness.

I was the only one from my family that could go today. I could not give the tickets away. Eventually found one person to go who is mate of my mate who has a seat where we sit. When they arrive at the footy they have six GA tickets that someone gave to them who did not want to go...we gave them to a family I am sure there glad they did not have to pay to watch that debacle.

We sit in Bay 3 and there were empty seats everywhere, the atmosphere is funereal and I really think its because fans are now mostly apprehensive about games rather than genuinely optimistic, people are hopeful but waiting for the ubiquitious clanger to sink us.

I'll make a very general observation from yesterdays crowd. Walking out of the stadium, I was struck by the quantity of merchandise people were wearing, it seemed everyone had multiple pieces, hats, jackets, jerseys etc.

I couldn't put my finger on the significance of it, until I considered that the game day attendees is likely shrinking to the die hard supporters.

If my observation has any merit, and I accept that its just a guess, then we are in dangerous territory as a club. We need the supporters who come to 4-5 games a year, if we've lost them, we are in deep shyte.

Nothing to say really about the game, the opposition teams have got us worked out, even the rubbish ones know that they only need to hang in and wait for the inevitable mistakes and collapse.

What staggers me is the depth of problems facing the club, we are in a perfect storm, our on field performance is now impacting on our off field performance and if things don't turn around soon, I suspect that 09's profit will be followed by a sea of red ink in 2010.

Does anyone actually believe that the fans are going to come surging back if nothing changes between now and the end of the year, I'd suggest the the Sunday crowd of 10K could be an optimistic outcome, its that dire.

Burro is going to need to make some really big calls in the next 4-6 weeks if he's going to salvage something from 2010.

I feel he's going to need to have some heart to hearts with the likes of Simmo, Dog and Stone. He'll also need to pull some major miracles in the recruitment stakes.

I just don't see how the club can continue with Stone based on the performance thus far, something will have to give and I think he needs to be sacked and a name coach appointed. He questions the desire of the players but it seems obvious that the players just don't respond to him, which means he's failed in his principal role. what disturbs me is that Stone just doesn't seem to get fired up about anything, if he can't show passion for the cause then why would the players give a sh*t.

Burro is the guy that needs to drive all this change as the status quo will just about sink this club, he needs to make the tough decisions in the interest of the club as a whole rather than an individual.
