Under the ad hoc judiciaries mandate, he automatically will serve a sentence of five weeks.

Combined with the fact he was sent off, there was no intention, and the player he infringed upon is fine, the automatic five weeks is sufficient.

I'm a lawyer, and my legal analysis was correct.

Prior's legal representation also included Steve Price in his defence (that's called a defence of 'command responsibility' to you non-lawyers out there).

Excellent legal representation.

Those who disagree (especially the uneducated, biased, Queensland losers) stick to your day job.

The matter is now settled. Move on.

I have to laugh again at the merge fans attempts to draw this along Origin lines. What chance exactly did Prior have of being selected at all for the Blues? None.

The only people I've seen making this an Origin issue is Queensland origin fans whining about how anyone who dares touch Thurston be consigned to eternity in hell.

Funnily enough, there was actually one dunderhead on Twitter who suggested Prior was acting on behalf of NSW in trying to take Thurston out

Ahwell, every dog has its day. Just wait until Jarryd Hayne or Todd Carney are taken out. This place will explode.

He will miss 5 more weeks than JT will for what was a vicious, callous act that was perhaps plotted by Hitler himself.

Seriously, those asking for 10+ weeks were pulling their pud.

Not in the tinfoil hat, conspiracy theory etc that your sad comrades have banged on about.

Yeah and he wasn't touched by the Judiciary. Thank you for bringing up the perfect example of the shoe being on the other foot. You merge fans were well and truly pissed about that.

Actually I knew he wouldn't get charged, but it was still a dog act charging in on a injured player from 30 meters away. Fortunately for Hodges, Idris didn't do the same when Hodges hyper-extended his knee recently.
