How much would we need to raise to get pay out Matt Elliott's contract? I'd be willing to donate some money to a fund like that.

For the time being, i'd be using our Under 20's coach in first grade. He has done some amazing work with the talent he has missing in Under 20's, and he knows how to use the likes of Masada Iosefa, Wade Graham, Joseph Paulo, Lachlan Coote etc. effectively. Matt Elliott has given the fans what they want in selecting them, but he isn't using their strengths.

On the first point. Me to, I'm but a poor student but I'll kick in a weeks pay to can him. I wonder, if we just continue paying his contract next year and give Georgallis (sp?) the top job for next year on his current contract, we wouldn't be out of pocket. And Steve would be looking to prove himself so wouldn't demand a big contract, then after that we re-assess.

Secondly, on most of those promotions, I believe Elliott's hand was largely forced by injuries, sponsors, board members and fans. Plus, being in top grade could be seriously damaging these players under Elliott, but at least they're up there and happy.

Stephen Kearney would be a great replacement for Elliott. Having the NZ national coach here might also make Franky want to stay.

Shane Flanagan or Brett Kenny for mine

Flanagan has very good credentials as he won the Jersey Flegg title with that unbeaten Roosters side a few years ago, is current assistant with Ricky at the Sharks and I think helped out Bellamy or Stuart with the Rep games this year.

Kenny has one a Jersey Flegg title with our boys and would be very familiar with a lot of them. Would make an excellent coach.

Kearney would also be interesting as he would get the most out the Polynesian players we have.

Coaches I don't want to see at Penrith are Daniel Anderson (problems communicating with the Polnesian players), Graham Murray (can get a club to the semi's but can't take that final step), Royce Simmons (Just can't coach), Steve Folkes (A bulldog and his heart would not be in it)

Kearney is the NZ coach and is also the assistant to Craig Bellamy. In a few years i see Penrith's team being about 75% Islander and someone like Kearney will be awesome.

According to the Cronullas official website Shane Flanagan's coaching career goes something like this:-

Pretty impressive stats and it won't be long before he picks up a 1st Grade job. Hopefully Penrith Management consider it.

Bingo.

Get both...Kearney can be the man manager like Mal Meninga is for the Maroons...and get the backroom staff behind him for skills work like a McGuire or Flanagan.

I will put down a dollar for his bus fare to piss :crazy:Elliott:crazy: off and send him back to Canberra.
The sooner we get rid of this clown the better ,we will achieve nothing with him there, Yesterday's loss confirm the low opinion i had of him when he first arrived at Penrith
If you look at any of his answers in the media its always him confusing and contradicting himself all the time.
Now what hope do the players have we have already changed our training because his stuff up:crazy:.

Well, that'll do me.

I'm still absolutely filthy about yesterday, and shenanigans like that isn't making things better.

I have been hoping to see a story today with the boys showing remorse - ain't going to see that happen by the looks of it.
