Looks like Ch9 got in first to steal some of 4 corners thunder and it some ratings for thier failing footy show.
Whats a bet Matt johns will cry live on air?
Wasn't much on the Footy Show. Opened with Matthews side of the story and now it's done.
He's gone a bit quite.
Mr Saab would be loving this.
I don't want to act like a choir boy or a prude but why are "allegedly" so many footballers interested and involved in group sex with each other?
Maybe it's a bit "normal" but that kinda stuff doesn't interest me at all.
Seriously, what is up with that?
Is alot of it to do with alcohol?
I don't know.
Sex case back to haunt NRL star Matthew Johns

FORMER NRL star turned Nine Network personality Matthew Johns was last night fighting to save his reputation after sexual misconduct allegations resurfaced from an incident more than seven years ago.
Johns, the face of Nine's The Footy Show in Sydney, issued a statement yesterday following reports that the ABC'S Four Corners program would go to air on Monday confirming an incident in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2002.
Johns, a former Newcastle five-eighth and brother of champion halfback Andrew, and who at the time was playing for Cronulla, has allegedly confirmed to the ABC that he was involved in group sex with teammates and a teenage girl.
Nine is believed to be monitoring the situation but the network would be loath to axe one of the show's most popular stars given its flagging ratings.
"It happened seven years ago," Johns said in the statement issued by Nine. "It caused great pain to my wife and family. It took us a lot to get through it and it pains me that they will have to go through it again."
After Nine went to air with the story last night, ABC TV carried a preview of the Four Corners program, including quotes from the girl, who was 19 at the time of the incident.
"I only remember one player definitely, it was Matthew Johns," she told the program. "He laughed and he joked and was very loud and boisterous.
"Every time I looked up there would be more and more people in the room and there's lots of guys ... watching -- maybe two or three were on the bed that were doing stuff to me."
The woman, a staff member at the Racecourse Hotel, where the Sharks were staying, made a complaint to police. She talks in the program about the effect the incident has had on her life, describing it as degrading.
After interviewing all 30 Cronulla players and 12 officials who made the trip across the Tasman, police decided not to lay charges. The players told police they had had sex with the teenager but maintained it was consensual.
Details of the incident could not come at a worse time for rugby league, the image of which has taken a new battering with the charging of Manly pin-up boy Brett Stewart with sexual assault a week before the season started.
Meanwhile, former dual rugby international Wendell Sailor alleges unnamed Australian anti-doping agents promised him a reduced sentence if he "dobbed in" mates after testing positive to cocaine in 2006. In a television interview to be broadcast on the ESPN Network tomorrow, Sailor alleges agents acting on behalf of the Australian Sport Anti-Doping Authority had offered to cut his penalty in half if he identified other players and people involved in recreational drug use.

And out come the Johns bashers. Expect 'em to be choirboys, when wvery Queenslander with a profile and a knob has rooted the COugar and ended up on her facebook page.
I hear Pony Holloway once pinched Wally Messenger's missus on the arse one night - I await 60 minutes, Bec Wilson, Alan Jones or Derryn Hinch to proclaim "Another league legend in sexual assault claim"
JANE: Yes, Peter Burgoyne took me out and the other two followed. I sort of thought, you know, "What are they doing?" and "Where are we going?"
TICKY FULLERTON: According to Jane, in an isolated spot, the two followers, Adam Heuskes and Michael O'Loughlin, caught up. She says her clothes were ripped off, her bag thrown away. She was forced to the ground, tossed around like a rag doll and raped.
MAN: Were you raped?
JANE: Yes.
TICKY FULLERTON: On the same tape, Jane's lawyer describes all three players being involved in sexual abuse.
MAN: You were absolutely positive it was Adam Heuskes, Peter Burgoyne and Michael O'Loughlin?
JANE: Yeah.
TICKY FULLERTON: Jane says she was raped by Adam Heuskes and Peter Burgoyne and that at one point, Heuskes and Michael O'Loughlin were masturbating close to her face.
JANE: I came to, then - and they did that - then blacked out again.
MAN: The three of them did that?
JANE: Um, I think it was just Heuskes and O'Loughlin - it was dark, yep - while Peter was doing other things.
TICKY FULLERTON: About 2:30am, Jane says she woke up, half-naked, dishevelled and alone in the park. Four Corners has been told Jane says she was a virgin before that night.
Friends who missed Jane at the nightclub were shocked when they found her. They took her straight to the police. Two of the footballers, Adam Heuskes and Peter Burgoyne, were charged. Yet six weeks later, charges were dropped. The Director of Public Prosecutions, Paul Rofe, stated there was "no reasonable prospect of conviction on any criminal charge". He has reiterated that to Four Corners.
What was your reaction when the case was dropped?
JANE'S COUSIN: Absolutely disgusted. Um...
While Four Corners are at it they should do some investigating into what AFL players' players Michael O' Loughlin, Peter Burgoyne and Adam Heuskas were doing out the front of an Adelaide nightclub around 02/03.
Or why Adelaide police decided not to fully investigate it.
