Apparently some posters didn't see ABC's 7.30 Report last night.

The CCTV footage showed Lodge going on a drunken rampage worthy of prison time.

Because he was convicted of the New York equivalent of common assault, not an offence you go to jail for in Australia or anywhere else.
Thanks Rumpole.
So he was fortunate he didn't kill or cause permanent physical damage.
Makes total sense now.

I'm still amazed that he didn't get at least tasered after he threw the wine bottle at the Cops.

Yet again the Broncos drag our great game through the gutter for the sake of a third stringer.

The germ didn’t have the decency to give testimony or even send a lawyer to his civil trial.

Now he’s desperate to settle because he got his arse handed to him.

Well maybe if Lodge bothered to turn up to his own hearing the victims may have been able to accept he was finally taking responsibility and settled it there.

I can see why Lodge and the Broncos are so smitten with each other.

Russel packers crime is much worse ..

To purposely jump on someone's head while lying on ground is pretty f**ked up

How he is back is beyond me
Funnily enough there is a common link with Packer and Lodge. Wayne Bennet championed both their causes.

More LU hyperbole, well played. There is no evidence of him threatening to kill a child.

Can't answer those questions can you? Because it will expose you as a hypocrite.

Correct me if I’m wrong
I don’t know the full details.

There was a kid in the apartment where he followed the women to and forced his way in?
The kid was hiding in a locked room
With a woman?
The same women he said “tonight’s the night you die” or something similar?
This is while some lunatic is going ballistic on the other side of the door?
In the apartment he trashed ?
The place he basically broke into?
Same joint where he bashed a bloke half his size?

The woman he said that to was one of the ones on the street outside. As far as I am aware from reports there is no evidence of him saying anything to the wonan or child in the bathroom.

You wonder if the NRL have a legal obligation to help criminals?

Are you f**king mentally deranged?

The constant victim blaming by you and your Broncos buds shows how mentally weak your fan base is
Good way to compketely miss the point. It is now beyond obvious that this is a club motivated issue with the fact of who he has signed for.

Oh. Poor broncy wonkies.

Perhaps if they hadn't spent the last 30 years acting like the world revolves around them with a history of banking and buying talent while actively killing off or interfering with clubs across an entire state they consider their due, all while ripping the game apart under the pretence of player wages while actually being the mouthpiece and agent of a media organisation with an eye on profit alone, maybe, just maybe, people wouldn't hang so much shit on them...

And using the smashing of furniture in the kids house as percussion.

Can't understand why the kid and his mum wouldn't just appreciate it instead of being ungrateful.
This family are scum. First of all they tried to come to the aid of a distressed stranger, one of them gets bashed and the others get terrorised in their own home, and THEN they can’t even accept an offer from Lodge after he didn’t bother to turn up to his own hearing.

Honestly, people just need to take a reality check. Lodge is the real victim here.

No, you merkins obviously have a problem either reading, comprehending, or retaining information. Go back and read what I wrote earlier.

His actions were reprehensible, idiotic and irresponsible and deserved to be punished. He has been punished for his criminal actions and fully complied with what he was required to do under the plea agreement.

He has been out of the NRL for approaching 2.5 years. Since October 2015 he has taken large steps to rehabilitate himself including anger management and alcohol classes. He has not touched alcohol. He has been of good behaviour and he has participated in presenting education classes to kids.

Given the precedent that the NRL has set in other cases, like Packer, Wicks etc, he was able to apply to be re-registered and has done so. The NRL, with full knowledge of his history has approved that.

If you do not think he was adequately punished, your compkaint lues with the Manhattan DA's office. If you do not think it is aporopriate for people with a history like Lodge, Packer, Wicks etc coming back to the game your complaint lies with the NRL.

If you think it is okay for Packer and the others to come back but not Lodge, you are a hypocrite and it is because of who he has been signed by. It really is that simple.

And, you just confirm my theory, thank you.
