Packer was remorseful, pleaded guilty, served his time in Gaol, took actual positive steps to turn himself around. Scumbag act but seems to have done everything right since.

a NY judge let him go
same for hayne in california where the state deemed there was no case
that should be the end of it , thats certainly the case in Australia

Auv'a faced court, pled guilty, showed remorse, was of previously good character, underwent extensive counselling (declining an offer to play for Samoa so he could do so) etc. He was ashamed of what he did (as he should be).

Lodge has done jack shit. Also, if he committed the same crime here he would've been charged with burglary which is 14 year offence. Let's compare apples with apples.
