Yep.
Just like packer

Seriously, are you 12 years old?

I ask that because it’s pretty clear you have trouble distinguishing between someone who has served their time/made amends & someone who hasn’t.

By the way, your ongoing obsession with only replying to my posts(when I hold the same view as others)is rather disturbing.

Well, if your definition of lightly is two weeks in prison, community service, being stopped from pursuing your career with a consequential loss of earnings for two years (and am I wrong to assess that at between $300,000 to $600,000?), legal bills of around $100,000.00 and a damages award against him of $1.6M AUD, then yes he got off lightly.

He did a stupid and reprehensible thing which has shamed him and his family. But when is enough punishment enough for some of you? He has complied with all requirements of the legal system in which he committed the crime. If that is not good enough for you keyboard warriors, take up the issue with the appropriate authorities in New York. He cannot incarcerate himself.

You are wrong to assess he has forgone between 300 000 - 600 000 given its often been said the Broncos contract is only 85 000. And the Broncos would never offer top ups would they, that forever disappeared with Andrew gee and his resignation

Plus the 2 weeks in gaol was not punishment. Wouldve happened if he was found innocent. Same as legal bills.

So a couple of hours community service and lost probably $100k in earnings.

The judge, jury and executioner has said his part, all retorts from here on in are null and void

Lodge's first grade career has been extremely underwhelming. For the Broncs to hang their hat on this guy is a reflection on how weak their pack is in 2018. He has a lot to prove.

So what? Gotta play by the country's rules. Dont go on a rampage where there are punitive damages. Dont import drugs where they can swing you by the neck.

Fyi The payouts to the couple were under a mill taking into account exchange rate and the third victim.

that country let him go tho
don't blame him for that , blame the NY courts

Once again, excuse me if I place greater reliance on the DA's office and the sentencing judge's view as to what constitutes appropriate punishment over some league fan from another club on the internet.

Had the same incident occurred over here, he would have in all likelihood walked away with a non-custodial sentence.

The guy hasn't paid one cent of his fine in years, and hasn't indicated he has any intention to. He got off virtually scott free.

The damage that this does to our great game far outweighs Wayne Bennett's fragile ego and the Broncos need for a 3rd string prop.

The "if he was in Australia" comment is completely irrelevant.

Given he had already been found guilty of assaulting a woman in Sydney a few years back, I doubt it. Let’s hope it’s your or one of your two headed fellow Broncos fans families that he terrorises next.

They seem to be ignoring this...

He was already deregistered for this and then reoffends with an incident that can't be ignored when it comes to destroying the reputation of our game...

And somehow thats defensible?

Greenberg needs to be hung for this

I will say this:

I would gladly let Lodge get me in a headlock and throw a few punches for 1.5m.

His actions were violent and disgusting.

But exactly how they came about a 1.5m pay out I've no idea.

Anyone is welcome to assault me and say a few mean words to my family for that much!

Also, the family saying they are traumatised and will never get over it... again it won't be a popular opinion but to that I say you need to harden up.

It can be a nasty world out there. No doubt it was a scary incident; but NEVER get over it?

I personally don't understand why people would choose to be a victim like that.
I agreed with giving Lodge another go and I agreed with what you wrote above but this is too far. You can't just tell someone to get over it, you have no idea how it may have impacted someone - for one person it might be an unpleasant experience but for another it could haunt them for the rest of their life and no they didn't choose to be a victim to that.
