Tghe skits are silly and low brow, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of sillyness now and then. I think the characters might get a bit tired though.

the footy talk has been pretty decent, thought the willie mason interview was pretty good.

I also think The Footy Show isnt half as bad as people say. It's just tired and needs fresh blood.

They seem to be rushing through things. Like that last segment "are you smarter than a footballer" 5 questions!! Let it run for a bit. Trying to fit too much in to one show. Will watch it coz there is nothin else on, but wont be upset if I miss it.

I've always liked skits and send ups, probably as a result of growing up on fast foward and the comedy company. Isnt enough of it on Australian TV. Too many US reality shows and re runs of 2 and hald men.

I hope this show does well purely because it's an australian show. no doubt, there are people who will deathride it.

i thought it was pretty good.

I thought Steven the man child was pretty funny.

I wonder if he a Joey are on talking terms as he cracked a few gags during and at the end of the show at his expense.

A lot of that was pretty cringeworthy. Steven the manchild was the worst skit I've seen in a long time. Paul Kent and controversy corner was good but the rest needs huge improvement. I'll give it a couple more watches it was always going to be rusty in the first week.

No, it's not just you.

I was astounded on Sunday, after the eels game, when I got into the car and turned onto the station with the sole commercial rights to footy broadcasting (2GB), hoping to hear the remaining minutes of the Roosters/tigers broadcast. Pffftt, no such thing. All there was were 4 immature grown men waffling on to the egotistical sounds of their own voices about dribble.

I cannot believe that the NRL continue to cop the schlock that is supposedly 2GB's league coverage.
I'm not sure when the radio rights are up for renewal, but something has to be done, seriously.
Hence, I turned it straight onto the ABC, which was covering the game.

Agreed, I used to listen to Hadley's team religiously, though haven't since Chippy passed, they are just a bunch tools now.
