Gee , we have to be the most critical fans in the NRL, always the sky is going to fall in. There are times where we could take a leaf from the other clubs, and talk up what we do. Kearney has a good pedigree and will be working his nackside off to be successful, and I can guarantee we will be fit and hard nosed. As for older players, as long as the mix is right then we have proved we can't win with inexperienced halves , so we need to take a deep nreath and give it time.
I know people will come on and say the opposite, but sometimes it is depressing to read how we continually hammer ourselves, makes it tough to be here every day.

I'm with you Delboy. Lets all just wait and see.

granted, and in an ideal world that would be great however Keats and Mitch are still under contract and unless one or both move on we simply don't have another position for a fulltime rake..this is basicaly the reason why the club shut the door on piggy.

Clint, Casey is your classic benchy that would prob fit in to all 13 positions if it's humanly possible, him and Reni both have that valueble asset in them which is missing in alot of players..so to answer your question, I don't think he's been brought in to cover any specific role.

My view was that he would be the classic modern day utility who can cover most positions. However if he was to cover a particular role I'm thinking that he may be more of a 9 than anything? He's been Catalans hooker now for a while and from the games I've seen him there he's given good service and solid in defence.

So we could be looking at a few options next year?

9. Keating
14. Mitchell
Pure hooker rotation.

OR

9. Keating
14. McGuire
Keating to play most of the game at hooker with Casey coming on in either a hooker/utility role.

OR

9. McGuire
14. Mitchell

McGuire and Mitchell to share the hooking duties.

OR

9. Mitchell
14. McGuire
