In 2010, Fien suffered a broken ankle (round one vs Parramatta), which saw him out for most of the season. His replacement, Priddis, who many claimed was over the hill (a la McInnes) played well in his absence.

Hopefully, history repeats itself with Luke.

P.S. Priddis is an unsung hero from that premiership winning year.

This whole post is absolute rubbish.
No offense.
None taken...but you have been a bit serious lately. I am allowed my own light hearted post you dont have to agree or like but why say anything?
Anyway I was being serious with my question in regards to McInnes coming back to early.
But I now move on!.

Do you think he was rushed back? That injury was 20 weeks ago, I presumed that he had gone through the proper rehab and was cleared by the docs to play.
As was Tariq Sims. But least he tried to play in games that mattered.
Only 2-3 months ago they were hoping Cam was going to make Round 1 but would liklely miss the trials. He might of recovered quicker and been cleared but why rush him back for the 9's was only my point.

You may be right re coming back to soon but I don't think that was the problem.
Two totally different injuries.
To be totally honest I think with hindsight that we shouldn't risk any of our major players in a 9's tournament.
But that's football. Injuries are part and parcel of the game

Saint_JimmyG - he was just that Dimmy boy , he made so much ground up the middle from dummy half and his defense was tremendous, as you have said one of our unsung heroes of the 2010 season.

Hard to replace Cam’s tackling commitment
Turns out that losing Luch, Robson & probably Timm - all because of Mc I-Hate-Fuc*ing-Juniors has come back to bite us?

Wonder why real coaches like Robinson, Bennett & Bellamy don’t give a rats about 9’s?

The bottom 3 teams from 2019 fought out the 9’s semis - and McSmug thinks he’s top dog.....Der
He is just trying to save face any way he can. Perception is a dangerous thing but McGregor likes to exploit it especially early in the season.
Lamenting the inevitable injuries after the event is just another way of rationalizing a very risky start to the season that has backfired.
Unfortunately that gives him even more excuses should the season start off negatively.
Joker in the pack...

All I remember of Priddis from that year was that his passing from dummy half was quite often terrible. As soon as Fein was fit, Bennett didn’t waste any time at all getting rid of Priddis and he was never seen again.

As Mary says we got to be "comfortable being uncomfortable"
Means he wants his players playing with injury in discomfort. .So McInnes, Dufty and KSims are named in the trial next week and expected to play
We can lose out Top 13 to injury..no problem he is the gifted coach.
Remember we never look back we just focus on what it is in front of us. "Our past is not our future"

But honestly does anyone think as McInnes was not supposed to be ready till Round 1...did he come back to early for what?...after his broken leg.
Mary....you would not play a senior player if they were uncomfortable!...would you?
I am sorry chosen one. I am not sticking up for Mary. But for Cam to play, medical staff have given him the green light.
In saying that can someone please explain to me why a forward who is over 30 years of age is out there playing kick and giggle in the middle of summer.
Again this is not a dragon thing, other clubs do it as well.
9's is a game for kids to see if they can cut it. Not for a busted prop.
Peace be with you

sorry but you just talk so much rubbish.... the injuries are linked. Anything to do with an injury to the leg means they are linked as one thing has to overcompensate for the other, wouldn’t matter if different legs or the same
