McKay slams Knights over stadium rent

Other teams do get paid to play at certain stadiums... but we get paid to play at EAS... Sponsorship $$ is a good start... ;-)Advertising boards all around the ground.... Other teams don't get that. Food and Bev sales? Ticket sales...

Out of curiosity, and the overdue rent for 2008, is anyone aware of WHEN the Knights paid the 2006,2005,2004 rents etc.

Maybe the fact that THEN, it (the stadium rent) was paid to the Sports centre trust (NSW GOVT) and NOW it is being paid to Hunter Venues,(NSW GOVT) WHY are HUNTER VENUES suddenly becoming arseholes in this matter. Have the Knights NEVER paid. ???????

Hunter venues have admitted that THEY want COMPLETE control of the sporting complex, therefore the ONLY way that they can have this control is to force the Knights out of EAS because they havent paid this (overdue) rent.

Its not the fact that newcastle wont pay.........its the fact that The NSW govt made one big stuff up originally by GIVING the Knights COMPLETE management of EAS and now are suddenly being made aware of this fact.

That's what is laughable.

Yeah Pika, its just so fantastically funny and fun that the tens of thousands of dollars me and my immediate family have put towards this club for the last 15 odd years sees the Knights in this situation!

Yeah, I just LOVE the fact that this money has been put to such amazing use!

It's simple - if you don't like how the club's run, and their financial decisions and situations, don't spend any money on them. The club's been run like the right from the start - you think you'd have been smart enough to have figured it out long ago, thus saving you and your family the millions of billions of dollars you've spent.
