This is deadset typical, that the issue of an outspoken individual becomes a greater farce than the reality of the situation itself.

Stop your whining.

You know I love you.

Dont get your panties in a bunch cause I dont like the way you use smileys.

I only bought it up cause it annoyed me.

Since whaen do you care less about stuff like that? You have a thicker skin than that.

You watched the 2 hour episode of farmer wants a wife and it sucked every last drop of testosterone out of you and turned you into a sensitive girl.... haha you know its true!

Good man, I knew it was only temporary.

Seriously, if you start turning into a skirt, this place will be useless.

I'm just a bit touchy at the moment Pika.

I was 0 from 2 last night tipping. And I'm an idiot for tipping those imposters the Eels.

Aaaah.

A mate of mine dropped $800 on the Eels last night.

He is in a similar mood to yourself.

Still, you should have known better...... haha

Well I guess Michael Hagan probably feels a little vindicated.

The attitude of Hayne and Inu and all the other polynesians in that team is just appalling ( and no thats not meant to be racist )

ok so lets get this straight

I say HV should take a holistic view and work with their anchor tenant to ensure the anchor tenant's viability and come to a mutually beneficial conclusion.

McKay says, and Karma apparently agrees, that HV should take a hardline approach, damn the consequences, and who cares if the community are robbed of their community asset (the Knights) because the Knights (a community asset) are shortchanging the community by attempting to negotiate in good faith with the managers of EAS, a community asset.

just so we are clear.

That sounds so creative Macca, well done.

I say the Knights should honour their financial obligations from 2008 right now, and sit down with HV and get 2009 compensation agreement sorted out ASAP but as a seperate issue.

Are you saying that the Knights cannot pay this bill without the compensation Macca?

Is that the issue?

It is called leveraging one situation in order to get a beneficial position out of another. The Knights want sufficient compensation for 2009, Hunter Venues want the rent for 2008. When the Knights get what they want, Hunter Venues will get what they want. Hunter Venues can not afford to lose the Knights as a tenant - the Knights are in the box seat here and Hunter Venues have nothing but to whinge in the media and have McKay come out and back them.

Karma wouldn't want to give the Knights any credit any way - it goes against his grain...

As Alex said the issue is leverage. The compensation request has already been significantly downgraded from the initial 1.5 mil quoted by the Knights to being closer to a mil. HV's offer is somewhere in the vicinity of 250k-300k. If we pay the debt, and as such relinquish possession of the only bargaining chip we have with HV, who's to say that an amount vital to our liquidity that we are rightfully owed will be paid in full, or even a third of that?

There is still a court process to deal with that if compensation can't be reached to the satisfaction of the Knights guys...

But fair enough, if the Knights want to use it as leverage for getting money from HV, then you can't be critical of HV using their own leverage of sending a bill wanting their money with the threat of keeping the Knights using the stadium either.

It works both ways right?

Still no mention from everyone as to why there wasn't a set compensation agreement before work commenced.

Still no recognition that compensation from 2009 shouldn't have anything to do really with fees owed from 2008 apart from " leverage ".

Well two can play that game, and it seems to me, that both sides are as bad as the other.

I would guess this is exactly the case. Michael Hill said some time ago you can only keep the crocodiles away for so long. The well is empty, the club goes from hand to mouth year after year eventually it catches up with you.

Anyway as Con said a couple of weeks ago no businesses pay to their debts on time....lol

Could it be said that prior to HV taking on the managing rights that business with the ISC Trust may have been a little laid back? Was HV actually in charge when the works began? Was there some other hand shake deal that is not being honoured?

HV is a state run corporation and I will be interested to see how much of the money/revenue raidsed from the Hunter Community is put back into Hunter resources and not consolidated revenue....we all know the answer to that question.....:sarcasm:

HV is simply a group of unrepresentative swill.
