Im looking at joining a medieval society, is anyone in one and are they legit where you really call people wenches and carry out daily acitivties like in medieval times etc?

I think the correct term is 'buxom wenches'.

I knew a couple in Sydney that were really into it. Odd Blue Mountains people but nice enough. They said they even had sword fights and told me about one bloke that had his finger chopped off when things didn't go to plan. They build fires, eat meat and wear heavy clothes. Definitely a winter sport.

I clearly remember Daffy Duck ad-libbing Robin hood (Fictional character from the East Anglia) thrusting and perrying a staff on a log which ended his beak being bent upwards.

Ladies and Gentlemen...an update

I've decided to join the Huscarls http://www.huscarls.com/ a Sydney based group who do dark age re anactments, ive sent off my application form hopefully going to get a positive response.

Tommorow im going to seek a blacksmith and make me a sword , ill purchase my sheild from toys r us
