not all league fans belong to footy forums and as it turned out forum members were out numbered on saturday night.

but that was cool.

ali and i never went there representing any of the boards we belong to, didnt really feel the need.

That's fair enough, oz. Some of our members are feeling left out and would really like to be involved.

If getting in touch with Wayne is the way to go, then thats the path we'll head down.

I personally don't give a rats A about the forum politics, those who have got involved really have to find better things in life to worry about. That goes for people on both sides, or all 4-5-6 sides, however many sides there are, I don't know and to be honest, I don't really care.

What I do care about is the stake of Australian based Warriors fans.

Next time there is a meeting, can someone please put on our behalf that we want some form of way to communicate ideas and feel involvement with the club. Don't need to attend no meeting, don't need to shake no hands, just give us some open auditorium to give some feedback.. whether that be as simple as setting up a suggestion box on their website for everyone to have the opportunity to communicate through, AND keeping their word from 2001-2002 and setting up the Australian Supporters Association. There's many of us over here still mystified and miffed over that sort of broken promise.

I will make a point of doing that for you Iafeta. I am going up there for four days starting thursday, so will get back to you on that score.
I think it would be a bit unfair about the "keeping their word from 2001-2002" though as there has been a lot of changes since then.
However, if thats your request then it will be noted.
Suggestion box....YES.
Mind you if there are a number of issues, then a group might be more appropiate.

not everyone is on a forum though. and most people that are online I think would visit the main site so having a suggestion box there would be good. and unless something special is arranged many fans in aus proabbly won't be able to make meetings over here in nz.

With your permission, Iafeta, I asked Wayne about that via email. There is already a suggestion box, but it takes some finding, (the 'Contact Us' link found in the 'General' drop down menu on the main page), and it's pretty awkward. It requires people to enter their email address, first name, last name, street address, city/suburb, state, country, postal code, phone number and fax number before you can make your comment.

I've suggested that it may be used more if it was linked more clearly on the main page and if it was simpler to use. I haven't heard back form Wayne yet, but if it was raised at a meeting, a response might be more easily forthcoming.

I'm not going to say who should have told who about this meeting. But what I was glad to know that it had happened and from the fans's point of view it's always good that some of their thoughts/ideas are at least being voiced. Understandably not everyone's views will be experessed but at least fans are counted and noted.
I won't make a comment about which forums ought to have been notified by the members that knew this instead of having to go look for it.

What little group mate.

*********************************************************

Jessbass I visited all the forums I knew, prior to going to the meeting and tabled them. The only one they showed interest in was the "block five", which you already have read

In fact we were all surprized that yourself and Mosh were not present. Maybe Wayne could explain to you why you werent' invited, rather than certain people like AuckMel speculate.

Sinbad was kind enough to pop by. Yourself mate I don't know.

OK chaps and chapess's. If memory serves me correctly, I had to lock the
last thread on this subject because of squabbling.

The Warriors Supporters Association was and is a very good and noble idea.

Obviously senior management at the Warriors think so as well, as the second
meeting was instigated by themselves, but encompassing a much wider group
than just a forum members. It was pointed out, much earlier in the piece, that
the Warriors fan base is much bigger than the sum of the various forum
members - thus the much wider group was invited.

The key word in the above is "invited". I, personally, was not invited. I, personally
have not felt the need to go rushing into print and bagging off other forums, other
groups, other individuals, because of that. I have felt that, there is a growing
momentum in the Warriors seeking opinion and ideas from their fan base here in
NZ. I see a call for this to spread to the Australian fan base and I'm sure this will
happen in time - small steps.

This growing momentum is pretty much the direct result of a single, initial
post by one man. That man is THE most parochial fan you will ever encounter.
That man is Ozbash.

Please do not undo the work that he has begun. Please leave your petty forum
politics behind when getting involved in this noble, ongoing, project with the
Warriors management. Leave the egos at the door, as they say, and get your
ideas forward where they will be seen by the Warriors executive. It's completely
immaterial who the messenger is.

Just one other thing. It is the philosophy and the policy of this site, that, we
do not concern ourselves with what might be happening on other sites and
forums. We are our own entity. We are the biggest, and some say the best,
and that is how we intend to remain. Leave all inter-forum crap at the sign
on screen.

Cheers
Skinner

:sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

If you ever attend a meeting representing fans please just stick to asking questions about what flavour biscuits will be there and help with making the cups of tea becos when ever you put your 2 cents in you are over charging us

Hello,

I love petty internet forum politics as much as I love firing players.

I'm currently trying to beat Mick Watson's record. I've been on quite the warpath. If I see a player with a beer in his hand after a game, I immediately label them an alcoholic. Therefore, if they step out of line, I can terminate their contracts and deem them as being drunk on the job.

It was very eye opening meeting with you unruly fans again. I was forced to by Mr Watson by the way, I don't actually like any of you. I want this and we want that, blah blah blah. I had to hit the sauce after that nightmare of a meeting.

You guys are never happy are you!!! We gave you cheerleaders, but you said they were ugly. We gave away free tickets in Australia to NZ passport holders, but you still didn't fill up the Stadium. Maybe the problem is you fans!!!

And to top everything off, I still can't sell Jerome Ropati!!! Not even Souths want him. I think I need another drink, I thought I saw a hip flask of Jack in Mr. Taulapapa's now vacated locker.

Remember to show up for the last home game against those dirty Roosters next Sunday @ 2pm. I'll personally come and pick you all up, if you are too lazy to find your own way there. If we don't get a full house, there are gonna be a few more players following Awen off overseas. And it will be all your fault!!!

Kind Regards,

Wayne "The Terminator" Scurrah.
