Blake Shinn replaced by James Winks on Precedence.

Fate has bitten Shinn on the bum, he was injured after a fall. ( I wonder if he backed Precedence )

Horrible odds in a 24 horse race plus if you've already put your money on a place bet then you're cheating yourself. Every non-regular better will place their bets tonight or tomorrow morning and there's a lot of each way bets there, so especially with a horse like Harris Tweed place odds will blow out

Wrong,Harris Tweed is currently $4.80 the place on the tote, will not blow out more then $6.25

$6.25 > $4.80

I always thought David Vaealiki looked a lot like a horse. Our new coach has a bit of a horse look to him also.

Oh and if So You Think runs the trip he wins. Simple. But i picked up Maluckyday,Precendence and Holberg at massive odds a few weeks back. Gotta shop early.

Well, I wish I had have seen this thread prior to the race as I would have been the only one apart from the OP to nominate Americain.

So You Think had never run the distance before and with a heavy track was always going to die in the end. Americain's Geelong win was the proof I needed to back it in. Decent odds, too, at 12/1 so a tidy return.
