Does anyone want to tip how long until Finch is released? It's not as though the Roosters don't have other options for halfback, and none of the alternatives cry when they lose a club game (not a final, but a regular game). His kicking is suspect, he doesn't have the speed or agility that other players do, I can't understand why Wing isn't named each week at No. 7.

His form was appalling at the 7's, I can't for the life of me figure why he was made captain.

geez, one of the more ridiculous statment i think i have heard. woolford is behind a number of hookers at the moment so to cla9im him as one the "greatest players" is a disgrace. buderus, wing and priddis are miles ahead of him. the guy has guts and a bit of heart but carries on like a little bitch most of the time.

another thing i really dont get is the raiders fans in here trying to constantly put a sour note on the chooks season last year. lets see now the roosters made the g/f to be beaten by a superb penrith team and both games the roosters and raiders played the chooks came away with points and yet the raider fans feel they can rip ino the chooks, get ya hand of it lads

There you go again showing your ignorance. Phil Graham is a great attacking player but was dropped to reserves because of his poor defence which has been a problem since his Redcliffe days.

I have seen Phil Graham play for a few years with Redcliffe and the Raiders and even if I didnt support the Roosters there is no way he is better than Hodges.

the only raider back that wouyld get a run with the roosters would be schiffcofske the rest are a bit off. hodges is better that both raiders centres by a long way and for mine hodges is only 2nd or 3rd best in the game.

jamie lyon is easily the best centre followed extremely closely by toopi. no raiders centre in sight.

I don't think that Woolford is one of the greatest players of all time, but you look at his performances week in, week out. He is a really good footy player. If he played for a Sydney team or Newcastle he would have played Origin long ago. Priddis left Canberra because he couldn't get ahead of Woolford so you missed the mark big time there. If you are a captain and ask the questions of the referee that need to be asked (see Shayne Hayne) that's not whinging. Same as if Freddy, Joey or Tallis do it.

Ridiculous Statement.There is not one player at the Roosters I would swap Rubin Wiki for. Surely your not going to argue that 22 tries last season Joel Monaghan couldn't get a spot ahead of *cough,cough* Todd Byrne. Mark Mclinden is far better than Finch, 4 times the player Finch is. Last year the Roosters played Payten at Prop and he couldn't get a run in front of O'Hara or Davico.

priddis is a much better player than woolford now. to state that he didnt get a run because of woolford is fine but look what priddis has gone on to achieve, won 2 premierships, one with brisbane one with penrith, has played the toughest football in the world in state of origin and also won man of the match homours in the biggest game of the year. i'll admit woolford is a tough little bastard but the blokes i mentioned a streaking ahead.

i'll also admit that i'd accept monaghan ahead of todd byrne. byrne is freaking useless and i cant see why ricky persists with him. also if you noticed i said raiders back so that rules ruben out. not that the chooks need ruben, nothing wrong with a fitzgibbon , morley and ricketson back row.

I must say, that while i like the raiders alot, and have a soft spot for them courtesy of the three years i spent in the nations capital, there is no way Woolford is "one of the greatest". he averages around one dummy half run per game, so is very predictable. I like his tenacity, but he can carry on a bit even when there is nothing to argue about, but then is solid and a worker in defence.

A very good club footballer, who could probably hold is own in a State of origin match. But not much more than that.

That's my own personal opinion. Germ is under-rated, he has the ability to change a game, he can get the team to lift in a instant, that is why he is a great captain too.
