Mentally Weak Culture

Didn't hear it, was listening to 2GB either side of the game itself - I normally prefer ABC over the multiple cancerous nutjobs on the continuous call team, but had switched because ABC was clearly having a night with the C-production crew... technical errors (2GB wasn't much better to be fair).

Someone should've rang in and pointed out the career path of NSW's current senior half to make them look like right morons (days away from game one, no less).

Mind you, that they (or some of them) apparently admitted tipping the Broncos in an Origin round already make them look like enough of a laughing stock.

TBH I don't even think (short of Kent) Triple M would carry on like that about a specific team - unless it was Tallis going solo looking for a cheapshot on Bennett, of course.

Maybe they'd be better saying who has gone to the Warriors since Ivan left and become better, or even not worse.

Nathan Friend and Ayshford, could claim to have kept their chins up. No one else comes close (maybe the Chad, but tenuous).

I think the Chad only really started to shine after he left us..
We hobbled him, the Sharks let him and Jimmy loose..

I thought we got mocked last night on ABC Radio Grandstand, did anyone else hear it? If so, were you comforable with it all?

During the broadcast of both games they raised a question asking 'who ever went to the Warriors and improved as a player?'

Two of them went away and composed a team and coach, and the whole on-air broadcast team were in stitches at who they came up with, i.e. Gene Ngamu at centre.

They also made fun of their tipping, having a crack at the 'fluky ones who backed the Warriors', or that was the perception I got (as a very loyal listener).

I didn't enjoy it at all. I'd expect that from crass, commercial Triple M, but not the public broadcaster. I don't think they'd treat a Sydney team like that

Let's win on Friday night and show them we're not a complete joke.

Who has connections to the team? Get the audio recording to Kearney and get him to play it to him before kickoff. Hurt their pride, make them angry, prime them to teach the Aussie media a lesson. That's what a club like the sharks or dogs that thrives on a seige mentality would do.

Matthew Elliott was right in amongst it.

Maybe I should've found it all hilarious too but lately I'vd turned as mean as hell when it comes to the Warriors. I don't like being laughed at. I certainly have the seige mentality, let's hope our players and coach do to.

You're bang on, Chad wouldn't have gotten anywhere in this set up.
Look at how much Foran is struggling to make impact.

Maloney too was going great guns under Cleary and turned into plod the moment Bluey came on and everyone deserted him on the park, leaving his legacy an embarrassing missed tackle count.

Interestingly, under Elliott when we got humped 62-6 we won the next 5 straight. So there was some fight in those days (although to be fair it coincided with Origin period from memory).

I agree incidentally, I hate that our club is mocked so openly and regularly. Do the players? No. I was at the Dragons game, a week after the club took a massive pasting on social media, lost 5k estimated in ticket sales for Hamilton, the jersey burning, the Aussie media etc...don't tell me that was a club hurting. Last week wasn't an act of defiance, it was an opportunity jumped upon to beat a disorganised Broncos-lite team.

We don't get that opportunity next week, Eels will have one (?) backing up, same as us. Nor the following week v the Titans.
