I still haven't listened to this.

But they have a new EP of Death Magnetic demos out - Beyond Magnetic. They played them live at their Fillmore 30th anniversary thingy. Pretty enjoyable, better than a lot of proper stuff they've released in the last 15 years

The songs on Load sounded much better on S&M than on Load, IMO, they were the songs that worked best with that concept

It's pretty good isn't it. I am a big fan of DM as well.

High hopes for their next album.

I'm hoping they release their 30th Anniversary gig on DVD...they'd be crazy not to...it even has a guest stint with Dave Mustaine playing Kill Em All songs. Epic.

I downloaded the EP this morning, the songs are not that bad tbh. A little bland but production wise though through my ear phones, they actually sound better than those on DM........

The production on Death Magnetic was atrocious. They compressed the hell out of the final mix, which has the effect of minimising peak volume differences in the signal, making the whole thing sound much louder and fatiguing your ears as you listen to it. Wrecked a great album of great songs.

Hunt down a torrent for the Guitar Hero version of Death Magnetic (if you actually own the album legally of course...........) , the production is better

I heard they didnt even turn up for the mastering of the album, kinda baffled me.

Imagine if the had of recorded AJFA with the same production quality as the black album??? Sigh.......

I got that guitar hero version of DM, much better than the real version. I've seen the pro tools wave form pics for DM and it is just a wall of noise.

Listening to Lulu now.

Metallica doesn't sound too bad on this album.

Lou Reed - die already. I have never heard lyrics sung so completely out of synch with the music accompanying the vocalist.

Speaking of the lyrics, they are erratic, uncomprehensible, nonsensical. Sounds like the ramblings of a patient at a mental hospital.

Lou Reed has just proved to me that he has the musical talent of a gnats stool. His lyrics are the worst I have ever heard and his 'singing' is equally as bad, it's not really singing, it's him just talking and jibbering away about pumping blood in the light, yelling out to Jack, saying he's a tablet, saying he's a woman who likes men....seriously what the f**k?

I found the Beyond Magnetic tracks and listened to them. Can't believe they had to be cut from Death Magnetic, Why couldn't they just whack another 3-4 tracks down and create a 2nd album after they finished their world tour.

That way they could have not done this Lulu ..... thing

Because that's how we ended up with ReLoad

But as far as I know they have an album in the works for next year

Why does Reed constantly talk about being a girl?

Singing about being spermless? this is getting more and more f**ked up.

His infatuation with expelling bodily fluids, animals, being female, sex (not good sex references either - the best is the line 'te taste of your vulva') are rife throughout this entire piece.

I seriously believe he has some mental illness and requires help.

It makes St Anger sound so much f**king better!
