Gus made the point today on the roast that Farah is a good player, I'm not doubting that.
But in order for him to do well, the players around him need to know his game and that will take time, and in Origin you just dont have that time. You have about a week to train for 1 game.
Fair point you make, but IMO that is not the reason why Farah played poorly in game two, he just had a complete shocker (along with plenty of other players in a blue shirt that night).
Case in point that shocking pass he threw on our own line - poor pass, inexcusable mistake, but someone should have dived on that ball. No heart, no urgency.
In my opinion, NSW need to score as many points as possible, Farah often plays like a second halfback, so with him on the park, if he plays well, there is way more attacking options. Further, NSW's halves options are VERY limited, so we need all the help we can get. Having a hooker who can play that style should be an advantage.
Yes a better understanding of Farah's style of play would be beneficial, but with a structured, targeted game plan and the lead up week training, it should be enough - they're all professionals.
