Wow this thread.

Ennis on Kasiano? Omg really?

Ennis on Reynolds? Mate at least he was back there defending unlike the rest of the team.

How was Reynolds try put on Ennis? If the kick chase was affective and Fifita wasn't bamboozled with foot work play gets stopped 70m back up field

On top of that, Rona intentionally running into the path of Townsend is what lead to that break by Hopoate. It's why Townsend stopped and couldn't make the tackle. He appealed to the ref but nothing was ever said about it.

No one in the league would have stopped Reynolds, look at positive Barba rounded up Hopoate he has his old speed back.

We also bounced back and won the game

Ennis involved in ineffective defence in all three of the Bulldogs tries last night.

Purely an observation and probably indicative of the Dogs targeting more than anything else, but if I've seen it then no doubt opposition coaching has also. Hopefully Flanno and team are devising effective counters to this issue for Cows at home next Monday night.
.

That may be true but Ennis does more than his share of taking big fellas on in and around the ruck. The quality of his work very often goes unnoticed more often than not he is up and at em shutting down the Big boppers before they get a role on:shock:

Ennis was fine. Targeted no doubt about it and energy sapped. That's why he had to make 45 fekking tackles.

Missing Prior.

Couldn't agree more. Matt Prior is essentially our most valuable ruck-forward.
We really miss him when he is off the pitch, and we noticeably miss him when he is not even in the squad.
The fact we don't have a like for like player is probably the only detriment to our squad.

Not to harp on missed opportunities, but I really believe we let the ball slip not signing Elijah Taylor. He would have been perfect to have in the middle of the pitch.

We now need to find a prop who can control the ruck either from the start or from the bench. Not sure the Warriors forward we are after will fit that bill.
