Michael Jennings - alleged breach of the anti-doping policy

so the ban wasn't based on her guilt, rather her conduct ?

"Your actions may not have been deliberate but your conduct contributed to the size of your global ban.

It's a strict liabilty set up. Without it, nobody would ever be done for a breach, unless they recorded a meeting at which they talked about cheating and how they would do it.

It's your responsibility to be clean. Fair, not always, but those are the rules and everybody who cares to know them knows them. Obviously, if you could prove that somebody slipped you a Mickey you might have a chance.

That quote is from a former ASADA boss. You also left out the rest of his quote:

"Ms Jack you broke a fundamental rule of sport," Ings wrote in a lengthy Instagram statement.

"You had a banned substance in your system and you had significant fault for its presence.

"You received a global (two) year ban from any and all sporting competition.

She is guilty of ingesting a banned substance.

Changes nothing about his statement, Ings has form with this type of statement

the way she conducted herself should not have any affect on the length of her ban, sure she ingested it but she is not responsible for the manufacturing of the supplement, it was her sponsor ffs

The "Mr Jennings" seems a bit......distant though.

A shame this is what it's come to, but probably the best for all involved to move on.
