I went on YouTube looking for Sam Thaiday's (shitty) stand-up routine and found this video - thought it was pertinent to share:
I don't need to see that after having lunch.

Yes they do. It always throws up odd winners as how often do you see a center or winger get Dally M points? So someone might win it getting 6/7 points. It’s not surprising someone like BJ wins it as he might have 3 good games a year, yet those games will be amazing and get him 9 points. Then we’re meant to forget the 20 shockers he had.
It’s obvioualy not perfect (how Pearce can come 5th after missing 10 games is a farce) but no matter what way you tally it up people will always whinge about something.

Great effort to pick the Rookie of the Year and captain.
I could name a dozen second rowers who were better than Jacko. Both of ours certainly.josh jackson over friz.. yeah ok man
Edit: I apologise, I misunderstood your post.I could name a dozen second rowers who were better than Jacko. Both of ours certainly.
Fergod winning winger of the year was the shows one redeeming point. One thing I find humorous... Jackson gets dropped from Origin because he’s not that level of a player. BJL has two ordinary years in a row from being everyone’s Smokey for Origin to being probably tagged never to play Origin... Derpuson who has dropped the ball more often than he has had finger vag and is also axed from Origin gets winger of the year.... and somehow some way Luke god damn Brooks nearly wins the granddaddy of them all.. the system is broken to mergatroid and back.
Pearce played 15 games, winning 7 of them. He's a pretty fair yet somewhat limited club halfback (which is why he's not playing this Sunday), by no means better than about six or seven others, and never at any time was he a world beater this season. Getting more points than all but 4 of 450 or so NRL players demonstrates just how broken this award is.(how Pearce can come 5th after missing 10 games is a farce)
