Might be Fifita’s last year with us.

We already have a Tamou like player in Woods. If we're replacing Fifita we should be looking for another impact forward.

Some money, some where, will have to go to another hooker.
If A-Fi retires they cannot use all his cash on another prop. Split the cash began an o that bopper and a back up hooker

far out I don’t mind the thought of Tamou on his form this year alone, but for 850k no thanks. Can’t see fifita walking away from 850k per year that easily though either.

I don't think Tamou is on that much now so doubt it would be close to the 850k amount we're paying Fifita.

And one would assume Fifita would go the medically retiring route surely ? Or try to.

Zero Tackle suggests 750K.

Tamou is baulking at negotiations with Panthers.

It's all about value and fit. This is likely to be Tamou's last contract. He likely wants security of a decent final payday.

Is he what we need? He provides leadership and experience but will cost. Fifita has been a leader but Woods is stepping up. BHU is improving, Royce and Toby are up and coming. Fifita will need to replaced but is a top dollar replacement the right call? Personally, a Matt Prior type of hard arse defensive prop would add something to the squad.

His name is Roy Sunt. His other name is Siosifa Talakai. Also goes by Kayleb Milne even though we haven't seen him.

There's also Teig Wilton, Jacko Williams, Dan Vasquez

Nope, don't need another impact player. Need a hard headed old mentor.

Tamou is ideal.

I would be OK with the Sharks trying to bring him back actually

Another thing

What's the G O with the dork brigade not wanting experienced SOO, International, premiership winning players at the club.

Oh, that's right, they don't fit the fluff cake model.

On the backup hooker spot, Kyle Patterson will be upgraded to a full NRL contract next year. Has anyone seen much of him?

You forgot Franklin Pele - he's the definition of impact. Probably down the pecking order. No lower grade comps is hurting his progress.

Tamou also doesn't miss much footy.

He was rated a bit by the Raiders fans, but more for depth. Not as good as the hooker they are using now.

They also rated Hunt but for only depth so maybe we shouldn't listen to them.

I lived in hope for Fifita, it will be a VERY sad day at the club when he leaves. On the subject of Tamou, have you guys even watched a Penrith game this year? He's trimmed down slightly and is killing it off the bench.
