It's a bit different when their whole career is based around it.

Patton's project is a cover album, he's not ripping off the sound and it's just one of many projects of his.

Also, he isn't a name dropper, he couldn't give a sh*t what anybody thinks. What is he supposed to say when the interviewer asks what he is working on? He actually does work on that many different things at the same time.

Hmm, im assuming you've never seen him live?

Because ive never talked to anyone who has said that he was anything other than absolutely awesome and perhaps the best live performer they've ever seen.

Sure Wolfmother have strong Sabbath/Zeppelin influences, but there isn't a single band in history that hasn't been influenced by another band's music.

Wolfmother aren't among my favourite bands, but I'd listen to them 1,000 times over any of Mike Patton's work.

And he was good, but nowhere near the best liver peformer I've seen.

His Dillinger Escape Plan stuff

I like the odd Dillinger song here and there. Faith No More I always hated. Bungle, Tomahawk and Tom were all...Eh.

I'm sure he has tonnes of other stuff out there but to me, as I said in my original post, he's nothing special.
