That was worthy of a thread???? It's always tough for a fullback to tackle a player one on one when they're running at full speed after a break, especially someone that size.

Fail.

I'm thinking Miss Tackle of 2010 would look more like this:

Sandow has been hard done by here, you have to take consistency into consideration and he has shown that over the whole year

I assume you're talking about the number 21?

Surely you wouldn't be stupid enough to be talking about Slater taking on someone 25kgs heavier than him going almost full pace?

You obviously know f**k all about tackling. Slater the arrogant big headed merkin let his ego get the better of him and tried taking him high up, legs/hip tackle would have brought him down.

Shame there's not many good defensive fullbacks around these days, few and far between and it's certainly an underrated ability imo.

They are coached to tackle up high a lot these days and wrap up the ball...but a good fullback knows when to use both techniques...Slater certainly used the wrong one that time!

What an armchair hero you are .

You one of those blokes who tries to tell players what to do from the grandstand with a stubby of VB in your hand?

Don't think there would be too many blokes who would stop Tony Williams 1 on 1 in that situation. He breaks more tackles than most players when he chooses to get involved in the game.

Preston Campbell has shown time after time if you go low no matter who the bloke is you've got a good chance of bringing him down... I could understand if he went high with Williams two metres away from the line because he has to wrap up the ball but you learn this sh*t in under 10's.
